On The Street...57th St, New York

It is actually a dark purple jacket which is a nice shot of color for a gentleman's wardrobe.

agree with yr thought re purple.

when everything else is SO bland, though ....

it's not enough.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:54 AM) :

I like the jacket length but his sleeves are too long.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 AM) :

There's the grey with saddle brown shoes again! Love the jacket. Love the purple color and the unassuming fit! He looks surprised that you stopped him; was he?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 AM) :

The gray tshirt underneath peeking thru really kills it, not that there's much to kill. Overall nothing inspiring about this fellow, even if he did decide to pick a purple jacket. His shade of brown shoe goes with everything but the jacket, so maybe he should have picked a different jacket to wear, but then you wouldnt have noticed him to photo and we wouldnt be here talking about him.

The jacket feels too tight especially when everthing else is loose.

Would love to see the color in person.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 AM) :

I love wearing purple grey and tan...it is so subtle yet so wonderful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

I disagree with the comment about the sleeves being too long. I think the style of the jacket suggests a deconstructed edge to it so the sleeves being the length they are suggest a less formal look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

Okay, that first comment is a bit harsh.

That's a nice jacket. The guy went for something out of the ordinary, and good for him!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

I don't know that the sleeves are too long, but somethings off about the jacket, lovely color that it is. I think it's the frame its hung on. I think he may have a bit of a paunch and so it seems to me as if the jacket is maybe a half size to small. Somethings just not right about it...

Japanese men are so stylish!

We seem to relish our enthusiasm for every print- I personally think the jacket itself is too short and probably bought on sale.
I think the shorter length adds width to the wearer which in this case isn't doing him a favour

I think the fit on the blazer is nice. the nip at the waist is perfect, however I have to agree with some people that the sleeves are too long. Showing that quarter inch of cuff is always dapper.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:11 PM) :

i actually love everything about this look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:23 PM) :

the sleeves are almost as long as the jacket. how often do you see that?

nice weather we are having for those light color pants and shoes in late dec.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:35 PM) :

The jacket itself is nice, and I really like the purple color, but I don't like how it fits him. It kind of looks like he grabbed his son's prep school uniform jacket on mistake. I would say that this man pulls off the look despite that, but it definitely isn't slimming to wear the jacket so tight with the shirt peeking through.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:51 PM) :

A patch pocket on the breast and a ticket pocket?! Yowser.

The jacket's a bit short, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 PM) :

the pants are a little baggy. otherwise well done.

I think I agree with the sleeve length, but with constant attention to it throughout the day, he could tug on his shirt sleeve to help himself out a bit.

It's the grey T-shirt that kills me a bit. Maybe an A-shirt?

I think this jacket needs a lower button stance to direct the eye downward and hide what seems to be a slight pear shape.

I am diggin' this hair. It's very Beethoven romantic. I think it gives us clues as to his outfit and individualism. By chance, was he a musician?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 AM) :

The hair is rather big.
