glad to see that even in stylish paris they get cold! i have those sorel boots and love them. i feel a little better about wearing them now. nice to see someone pretty normally dressed on the site, just to keep it interesting. sartorialist come to portland, or!

I walk around in those very boots ALL THE TIME...sheesh.
Don't you ever see me?
short?
funky glasses?
tights?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:16 PM) :

Awesome! this wouldn't look nice in a tall person. The proportions and textures say to me Hayao Miyazaki kind of creature.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:17 PM) :

looks like an extra from one of the original star wars

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:35 PM) :

Cozy and adorable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 PM) :

Wonderful! Even if it IS a little boy in mom's coat!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:06 PM) :

Es ist mir kalt!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:10 PM) :

I don't see the point in this photograph.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:19 PM) :

Great picture Sart. So cute, but is it a little girl or boy? Or an adult ?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:40 PM) :

Unless she's about to rob a bank, it's cold enough to need the scarf on the face and therefore too cold for tights!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:49 PM) :

oh, adorable! I love Saint Germain-I am very jealous!

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (5:17 PM) :

A very styling little woodland creature.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:37 PM) :

She looks like she is about to stab me and take my crack.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:37 PM) :

Hayao Miyazaki was the first thing that came to my mind too. :)

Blogger Moose said ... (6:56 PM) :

Is this an Ewok look?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 PM) :

Oh my. Did she just finish setting fire to cars? Looks like luxe riot wear.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 PM) :

Excelente manejo de las formas y los materiales.. solo un oriental puede hacer eso. Congratz!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:31 PM) :

I love everything about this - esp. the clunky boots (always a personal fave) which really balance a roomy coat She looks warm and chic and mischievous.

Blogger Just an Observation said ... (10:05 PM) :

And what do we have here!

i agree it would look worse on anyone of different proportion and size.

I like everything except for those boots. Of course it is a female!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:03 AM) :

Comments this time are spot on and hilarious: Miyazaki, ewok, woodland creature, adult or child, steal my crack ... and instant favorite! I love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:58 AM) :

I love this look. She looks like a Final Fantasy videogame character.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 PM) :

I think this reminds me of a niece who came underdressed for the weather and had to find something to wear at Grandmas.

Blogger designerman said ... (4:10 PM) :

I love this picture. Like some Parisian waif of the late 1920's or 30's.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:30 PM) :

Yes, I too think that is a boy. If so, bravo to him!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:16 PM) :

what a lovely street urchin

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:25 AM) :

It's female ninja meets the Seige of Leningrad, but she's wonderful in this outfit! Sart, are you going to surprise us and tell us this is Carrine Roitfeld on a really cold day?

Blogger Louise said ... (7:32 PM) :

So adorable. Makes me want to get a pair of Bean boots. I like her gray tights. This woman looks like she killed an animal with her bare hands to make her coat. Sophisticated savage!

It's year 2010 now, I was just reading the book version The Sartorialist, this shot came to my notice, then I reconized her face, ----check out the 2010 January issue the magazione Le Point from France, you will find the same face on the cover.
