That Hair

I have been trying to get a good photo of her hair for the last two days.

It honestly looks amazing... a lot of people rag on girls who opt for the Heidi do but it always looks a little unexpected (and interesting) no matter what you've got on with it- whether it's a fancy dress a la Sienna Miller, or something completely casual like this.

Blogger positive_negative said ... (12:21 AM) :

I feel like I just saw that hairstyle at fashion week show, maybe from last season. Does anyone else know which one I'm referring to?

Blogger Lillian said ... (12:41 AM) :

Gosh, that's gorgeous. I wonder if the braid is really her hair?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 AM) :

Sienna Miller had her hair up in Heidi braids during the Golden Globes and she was lambasted by the press. This lady fares so much better...I think it's because hers itsn't too slicked back (which can give one a headache at times), as if she spent half the day fixing it. All in all, brava!

Blogger said ... (12:57 AM) :

The way you have captured the light on her hair makes her look almost angelic...beautiful shot and beautiful girl.

Anonymous Angie said ... (2:07 AM) :

I have the same dress...But not the same hair!!
I love it!!

Anonymous Swdish girl said ... (2:34 AM) :

It's just lovely!!!

Blogger roddy said ... (2:49 AM) :

definately worth it!

Another Great captured Moment

Blogger Miriam said ... (5:33 AM) :

I use to wear my hair in that way quite often, but her look is really beautiful! It's not easy to get that "wool-look".
God, now I almost want to dye my hair in that white-blonde color again...

Anonymous masha said ... (5:51 AM) :

angie where did you get this dress? i just need to know to sleep well

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (6:58 AM) :

She looks gorgeous! Great shot!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:25 AM) :

perhaps only blondes can sport this 'do? as a brunette - i'm thinking the braid in chocolate brown may not exude such charm as in goldenrod blonde?

sart - lighting couldn't be more perfect - kudos!

Blogger Carlene said ... (7:27 AM) :

That is one gorgeous photograph.

Blogger Emily Cook said ... (8:22 AM) :

amazing. i love the messy part of it - like she just threw it up in a second...instead of taking an hour to fix her hair. beautiful. and i agree with '' - she does look very angelic in that lighting. great eye, scott!

Blogger Misterparticular said ... (8:42 AM) :

Beautiful. The hair looks great and as anonymous said this pulls it off much better than Sienna Miller who was pilloried for it....but Miller was on to something wasn't she? I guess I'm wondering if the look is more heidi or angelic.

Blogger atticus_finch said ... (9:46 AM) :

thanks for was well worth it. charming haircut indeed!

Blogger daniqueconijn said ... (10:31 AM) :

ooh that hear! she looks like a grown up version of heidi! i loooove it!!

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (11:28 AM) :

Positive_negative, I saw that kind of hair at Bottega Veneta, yesterday.

One of your best portraits... she looks angelic

Blogger Janvangogh said ... (1:43 PM) :

It looks so baby fine.

Blogger positively the same dame said ... (1:52 PM) :

i can never see a braid without immediately flashing on scenes from "the bad seed, and when i saw sienna miller's do all i could think was that she seemed to be trying too hard to be a trendsetter to actually succeed at it. were i capable of an objective opinion however i'd say that this is lovely.

Blogger AnastasiaC said ... (3:16 PM) :

i love the messy look and the braid adds interest - its a great shot, she looks like a cheeky goddess/angel.

Blogger positive_negative said ... (3:56 PM) :

Thanks Carolina! Bottega Venetta is one of my favorite lines- I knew I had seen it somewhere!

Blogger cigalechanta said ... (4:27 PM) :

I agree with anon. It looks great on light-haired blondes.
It's a great look with couture or vintage floral dresses of chiffon or gauze.

Blogger fashion me this said ... (4:40 PM) :

the lighting makes her look so etheral
she pulls it off well
probably because of her face shape and bone structure.
I like how the hair's a bit messy and rumpled

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:19 PM) :

Il vestito e di Marni da questa stagione. E veramente un amore....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:50 PM) :

You're a confessed stalker - but who could blame you - she's hot and I'm in love . . . .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:51 PM) :

Zara has a very very -if is not the same- dress

Blogger Candid Cool said ... (6:58 PM) :

simply beautiful

Anonymous mary beth said ... (8:39 PM) :

Anonymous GERALD said ... (9:49 PM) :

i feel like sienna miller would bring this hairstyle back...

oh wait.

she did, at the golden globes.

Blogger .francesca said ... (10:19 PM) :

well i'm glad you waited to post this because it's absolute perfection - the light is breathtaking, and doesn't hurt that she's beautiful too.

this is an amazing shot. i'm going to try (and likely fail) this look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 PM) :

charlotte ronson also did heidi braids at her FW show in new york

Blogger sk said ... (11:55 PM) :

this reminds me of Kirsten Dunst in Marie Antoinette!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 AM) :

You know that it's just a headband of braided hair, right?

This is the first time I've actually seen it look decent although anyone can do this...especially with the "bed head "/"just got out of bed" look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:14 AM) :

Very nice.

Blogger J said ... (12:10 PM) :

She had the same hair for days?

Anonymous cinzia said ... (2:36 PM) :

This is my good friend and neighbor Daniela. You should know that she is always this beautiful. Lovely photo--thanks for making my day!

Blogger Jenny said ... (3:24 PM) :

When you say that you've been trying to get a shot of her hair for the past two days, it makes it sound like she's been wearing it like that for the past two days.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 PM) :

So right on!

Heidi hair should not be pooh-poohed. What other style can young girls and older ladies wear, confident they will look pretty and polished?

This young woman nails her place in life by wearing it messy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 PM) :

She is just gorgeous and Suprise! she has a profile! Amazing. My understanding is that one has to travel to Europe to find women with profiles now, as they have been outlawed in America. Blonde with a sideview. Isn't that against the law in the US? Keep those Roman noses coming, Sart.

Anonymous JR said ... (12:38 AM) :

This was originally done by Yulia Tymoshenko, a Ukranian billionaire/politician a year or two ago. It's amazing how fashion comes from the most random places, to Sienna, to now.

As you can see, messy does it right.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:35 PM) :

That hairstyle: Galliano, Valentino? Irretating it's on the tip of my tong!

Anonymous Victoria said ... (6:26 AM) :

Oh, I'm in love with her hair! (L)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:51 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:22 PM) :

beautiful. i'd sure like to be there when she lets it down...

Blogger Paperface said ... (10:14 PM) :

She looks like a Botticelli painting. Lovely to the core.
