Usually I find those shirtdresses can look a bit dowdy, but she manages to make it look cool and classic. Nicely done!

Blogger Big Eyes Strange Names said ... (9:09 AM) :

She looks beautiful, though nothing I would look twice at, however the light and shadow in this photograph...I've already looked at a dozen times!

Spring is here! So fresh and warm!

OMG!!! This is sooo funny. I am wearing the same dress today! It's from JCrew. I wore it with tall brown boots and a scarf because i have a client meeting but I like her more casual approach.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (9:26 AM) :

Beautiful woman! I think the dress is J. Crew and she wears it well. Also, great light!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

Surprisingly this is a J Crew dress.

I agree with Fashion Weakley - this photo is beautiful. Your use of light and shadow is what appeals to me and the lady is just part of the whole scene!

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (10:39 AM) :

What a sweet look! Love it!

Great Shot!

Lovely light. Late afternoon? Not quite magic hour, but close, maybe?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:40 PM) :

the photo is better than the way she looks...very blah!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:45 PM) :

Nice calves. Not sure why that's what pops out to me...

What a picture!
A classic beauty.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:30 PM) :

I like the style, this girl is beautiful and the photo is great, but I suspect that different shoes and perhaps or a slightly shorter hemline (hits at the knee?) would have done more for her figure. thoughts?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 PM) :

Love the picture and the dress! Does anyone know the name of this dress from J. Crew? I tried to find it online, but I couldn't identify it.

Thanks.

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (3:27 PM) :

Gorgeous girl! Healthy body! Dumpy clothes! Awful shoes!

Sart, what happened?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:40 PM) :

love the ease, the elegance, the confidence 'n the gorgeous green shoes ~ a delight!

Blogger Othalia said ... (4:35 PM) :

so simple and chic...makes me want to own 5 shirt dresses and maybe be 3 inches taller. nevertheless, she is hot.like.fire.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:11 PM) :

So which category represents fewer photos: older men or older women? I've noticed you have very few photos of older women.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:49 PM) :

I can't get over this photo. This girl is perfect. I wouldn't be sure about the shirt dress otherwise, but it just can't not look good on her.

Plus, I love a girl in aviators, for some reason.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 PM) :

ideal girlfriend here

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 PM) :

Love how she looks so relaxed, like she's on vacation. I think the light also plays a big part into it, it's almost like she's just taking a stroll in the park and "happen" to have her picture taken

Blogger benson said ... (12:30 AM) :

Sweet, simple and so chic...she's fabulous.

I doubt you'll find it at this time. It was on sale a couple of weeks ago. 1) Try calling the New York stores (they have the highest volume of inventory). 2)Call the catalog (or 1800#) and ask if the seersucker shirt dress is still coming in. lastly, check jcrew.com (sale) in a couple of weeks. There might be more catalog returns.
Hope this helps

very simple uncluttered look but she looks beautiful...the lighting makes it that way...

What a lovely pic..she and the dress would look different in real life I think.
You captured such great lighting and contrast. Look at how her arm hangs its just like the mannequin behind her..she looks like one of them almost.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 AM) :

lovely pic. is it just me, or does that look like liv tyler?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 AM) :

everything about her seems drawn to the filtered light. her arms are ever so slightly strained in their attraction to the sun. her eyes are, in defiance of the camera, looking off to the sky, protected behind her shades. her torso is disengaging from her legs, in a moment of pre-flight- her lips are at the verge of parting into a smile before this charming young woman forgets herself completely in her flirtatious undertaking with the sun.
i love the shadows.
