Wow, seckond pic is totally me in winter. I hate cold, and thats why I'm really into layers.

Blogger Carlene said ... (9:16 AM) :

She's just so cool. Do you think maybe you could just follow Andrea around and take a photo of her every day? Thanks in advance.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 AM) :

oh i wish i could wear skinny jeans like that. love the 2nd girls shoes!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:38 AM) :

Like the new look, just not on her! She looked amazing before..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

I've been going back and forth on whether or not to chop off all my hair. This is swaying me to YES.

Blogger Jeannie said ... (9:39 AM) :

i love both. so sweet but modern.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

Bravo! Pretty either way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 AM) :

sofisticado, realmente gosto

Blogger bikerchick said ... (9:52 AM) :

Who is that woman in the top photo - looks like my friend Andrea from high school. Smashing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:58 AM) :

I'm afraid I don't get it: is that the same person? And the picture on top is named new look? If this is the case: a new look is not always a good look... That hair doesn't suit her particularly well, together with that top it looks lost. Lost in a new look, maybe...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:01 AM) :

The skinny jeans are w-o-w.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:36 AM) :

ihope the bottom ones her new look. i much prefer the girl next door deal.

Blogger lewehrman said ... (10:41 AM) :

Well, both her looks are pretty fantastic! The shoes in the "new look" are just so good! She looks so comfortable and oh SO chic.

I've been going back and forth about getting a cool short bob as well. This might seal the deal.

Blogger Caroline Bingley said ... (11:13 AM) :

A haircut like that makes a woman look polished. Whereas there was nothing wrong with her "look" before; NOW it is striking.

Blogger Le Raconteur said ... (11:24 AM) :

The young beauty below..at a glance, her shoes look like spit-shined wingtips. I can't tell for certain, but wouldn't that be cool?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :

I had NO CLUE this was the same girl until I read the comments! But I am really sad she cut all her hair off, I liked it much better before. Both are amazing looks though. The jacket in the bottom pic I adore.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

Different look, same old jeans. Very interesting lady, refreshing look. Kudos to Andrea

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:13 PM) :

The second picture has been posted before.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 PM) :

oh man, the short hair really changes her. i've also been debating on whether or not to cut my hair. it's a scary decision. ok, maybe that's a sign that perhaps life is really good.

i really like her summer attire. it's perfect for a city like san francisco. where our summers are, kinda chilly.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (12:45 PM) :

She looks so great before and after!

Blogger Susan B said ... (1:19 PM) :

A very stylish young woman either way. Love both of her looks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:22 PM) :

I liked her old one a lot better

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:45 PM) :

Good job and pictures are so real

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 PM) :

its the same girl, and sadly the bottom picture is the old one. i like both, but the second one is seriously the most brilliant collaboration of clothing i have ever seen. it changed the way i looked about clothes- i literally sent that picture to my whole family in awe haha.

Blogger Nigerian Woman in Norway said ... (2:55 PM) :

from sweet to edgy. i love fashion chameleons.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:17 PM) :

hair and glasses don't become her. she was doing very well the first time around but i do applaud the risk.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:18 PM) :

love the shoes, love the attitude, not really feeling the frock. she looks like maybe she's about to sit down to get her hair cut. but it doesnt really matter, she's got such style . . .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:22 PM) :

does it incloude the havy asymmetric hairstyle to? It suite her, but...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 PM) :

She is absolutely amazing. Either way, she exudes confidence, a sense of humor, true personal style, and a willingness to push the limits while still staying true to herseslf. These are two of my favorite looks that I've seen on the blog- she is daring, but not over-the-top or vulgar. Rather, she is elegant and modern.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:14 PM) :

Prefer the first one. The shoes she was wearing on that day are amazing...

Blogger The Spicers said ... (5:31 PM) :

Yes, Andrea's got a great sense of style, and fantastic shoes in both photos. I remember the (Ferragamo?) wingtips from winter, and love her peep-toe boots too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 PM) :

SHE IS SO ELEGANT AND CHIC! ALL WAYS!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 PM) :

I don't think it's necessary to say if the first or second
look is the best. She looks amazing eather way!
Also its great seeing people with great style change to an other cool style, that is still their own look.

I remeber the wintery look she had and it really inspired me. I love the combo brown leather with blue, and her three quarter jacket and the hole overall look.

Congrats you cool girl!

Blogger matt williams said ... (6:26 PM) :

I love the looks on these two. Why wasn't I lucky enough to be as thin as these two?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:30 PM) :

I wish my hair looked that good when I try to work a "tousled" look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 PM) :

I love her cold weather pic. That's actually one I've copied to my desktop for inspiration. I like the clothes on the new one, but she looks 'colder' with that hair. Maybe it's just the pic. Love the jeans as a staple, she looks great in them!

Blogger Last Day Emails said ... (9:35 PM) :

From girl to woman! Love both. Might really chop my long hair for a bob this summer after all.

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (10:12 PM) :

OMG, she looks totally different from the other picture. She's such a chameleon.

She's gorgeous in both photo but I like the long hair better on her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 PM) :

Who is Andrea? She must be someone in the industry to be so clued in and stylish.

Unbelievable style.

Next time you see her tell her she's my new hero :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 AM) :

it doesn't hurt that her legs go ALL the way up!

Blogger Michael said ... (12:37 AM) :

Obviously, many people don't bother themselves with reading the clever and succinct titles.

Andrea looks great in both photos.

-Michael

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:51 AM) :

tell us sart, who is this amazing woman??

Blogger Ella Gregory said ... (5:04 AM) :

im am in love with the second picture
she looks amazing

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:11 AM) :

In the bottom pictures she is dressing the scarf the same way of another woman in you pic, and exactly the same shoes of another of your shoots.
Sart, she has been reading your blog quite a lot!
I like her new style, more original.

I can´t understand the great interest people have in the cheap brands like HM etc. These clothes are generally poorly made and you can see them on everyone.Neither can I understand the IKEA boom in the interior decoration business.Maybe it´s okay for parents to buy cheap clothes for their fast-growing kids.but I can´t understand adults buying and storing crap in their closets.Would it not be wiser to buy less. You then could buy quality-clothes that fit your mind, souland activities.

Blogger Emily said ... (7:40 AM) :

i love the bottom one

Blogger vogue_wants_me said ... (8:10 AM) :

hi . i like ur site so much. n da picz r nice.
u look porfessional on fashion!

i m new here.
:)
and i 'll cvm again!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:33 AM) :

What will the fashion world do this summer when they can't where scarves all day?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

Its a very Berlin look

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 PM) :

wow what a fantastic outfit! ( I like the second one!!)

Blogger dnqcnn said ... (3:09 PM) :

the first photo!!!
are those the same shoes as the ones you posted a few months ago? the vintage ferragamo shoes i was soo absolutely in love with? they were on my desktop for several weeks :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 PM) :

Anyone know where her peeptoe boots are from?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:28 PM) :

She looks so badass now.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:46 PM) :

She has great style. I have been looking for some Ferragamos like that since you posted the second photo and I finally found some!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 AM) :

Wow, she's a stunningly fashionable girl but I really don't like teh new look on her. The hair cut and sunnies do nothing pleasant for her facial features where she looked lovely before..

Wither way, I'm very jealous of the skinny jeans - I think I look too much like a 12 year old in them. I'd love to be able to wear them like Andrea does.

Blogger tn said ... (10:27 AM) :

Andrea looks terrific both ways but I am drawn to what I assume is the new (easier to cut hair than grow it...we wouldn't have seen her for years!!) Strong, confident, fabulous rock & roll look. Love the vibe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:11 PM) :

Andrea always looks indredible!
Andrea White is a photographer and you can pick up her awesome handmade photobooks at Opening Ceremony in NY.
Keep that kickin' style up

Blogger Blaise said ... (10:43 PM) :

are those peep-toe shoes? cool.. really cool..

Blogger SC said ... (12:14 PM) :

Oh, I believe I should have called this piece of cloth a handkerchief rather than a scarf... Anyway, it is worn around the neck and is brilliant for someone who suffers from living in a hot place!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:41 PM) :

I don't get it. Other than the haircut, she looks exactly the same in both pictures, right down to wearing the same pair of jeans.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 PM) :

I liked the before a little bit better - just because there was a certain young freshness to all that hair (particularly with all that smile). The layers also look less studied.

But, of course, if she works in fashion, cutting off the hair and going for a more 'serious' look could be a very intelligent professional choice. The old picture made me want to hug her, and sometimes being huggable is not right for your job.

Blogger carolina_v said ... (6:27 PM) :

I totally love the second picture! that's such a nice look and a great photo too!

Blogger katerina said ... (11:01 PM) :

she is lovely as always. x

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 AM) :

Love it all!

Kram Amanda ♥

Blogger RECIEN LLEGADA said ... (2:43 AM) :

I love the one

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (11:23 AM) :

Ummm Ok... I posted before, not sure why my comment didn't show up. I said she looks good but seeing this clothing now is making me hot!

Blogger Katie said ... (3:55 AM) :

I love the second pic.
She wears the skinny jeans so well unlike the usual teenage way of wearing it i.e. T-shirt and skinny jeans.
She has true style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:34 AM) :

love the jacket of the second woman! wish it would be winter in paris so that I could wear that kind of jacket right now. bang bang

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:16 AM) :

I love the first look but it makes her look a little "bitchy" and a bit too pale. Think the second look suits her better, looks healthier and happier!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:58 AM) :

it's so interesting to read these comments and hear what HAIR says about a person. People have been saying basically that long wavy brunettes are warm, short bobs are cold. I am definitely partial to the old photo (I think it's just because I adore the layering and the textures) although I wouldn't say she looks cold with the new haircut, it's a more mature look, the bob definitely makes her look older. But not cold. Maybe more authoritative and sophisticated, and the earlier post is more fu-loving.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

Where'd she get the jeans from the earlier picK?
When does the LIST start sart?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 PM) :

Oh dear Andrea! I knew it was only a matter of time until I saw you in here. You always look beautiful, and I hope you are doing well!

XOXO

Rebecca Gordon

How is this related to the post? Also, I can't stand snobs like you who think everyone's as wealthy as they are. If I didn't buy from IKEA, I wouldn't own furniture. I think it would be nice if you wrote less and used quality words and proper punctuation.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:58 AM) :

She looks as though she has a winning personality (in both looks). Looks younger and more relaxed in the older; looks sleek and polished (but not foreboding) in the new. Change is fun--good for her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:40 PM) :

I agree with anonymous 1:09.
Even if you do have money, the truth is if you are chic and truly have a sense of personal style, you can make cheaper pieces look just as fashionable ( if not even more so) than expensive ones. It doesn't take any peronal style at all to buy overpriced clothing and wear it to death; what does take style is creating a look that's versatile and fashionable with pieces that are high end, low end, or both.

Blogger Ryfka said ... (8:31 AM) :

I much prefer the "old" look.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:20 PM) :

I like both looks on her a lot!!!

Blogger simplyolive said ... (6:20 PM) :

she is perfect! i'm in love w/ the coat!

Blogger simplyolive said ... (8:23 PM) :

i didn't realize this was the same girl...the "before" was perfect. who's the designer of that coat? i'm in love...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 AM) :

both really great. i totally agree that someone just follow this girl every day and take pics of her. she has a personal style and that's what makes her photos so good. i remember her first photos in the blog with the 10$ pasminas!
