Love this look and she carries it very well. Beautiful combination.

Blogger MayKay said ... (6:11 AM) :

SHE is fantastic!I don't always agree with your choices but this one is wonderful. Not only the simplicity of the look but also the proportions, the fit, slim body. -

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:28 AM) :

High waist done right. Perfectly chic.

Blogger Miss Marie said ... (6:32 AM) :

OMG, thats a serious outfit! :) that skirt makes her legs look so long, amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:32 AM) :

Classic. The pencil skirt is my favorite.

Blogger JTB (JourneyToBlue) said ... (7:02 AM) :

chic and elegant..
I love pencil skirt:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:05 AM) :

Yes. Keep pushing this look. The bubble will fall and the high waist will prevail. Women will no longer feel the need to garment themselves in a silhouette that resembles a cupcake.

Blogger momo said ... (7:42 AM) :

I love this look! How I wish I could wear it.

Blogger theovereducatedvalet said ... (7:50 AM) :

Perfection. The look's not overthought and she looks completely at ease. I particularly like the pale, almost watery pink of her blouse and the mid-height heel, which is a refreshing change from the extremes of height we've been seeing at both ends of the spectrum.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:55 AM) :

Since I expect almost everybody to agree on: hair, shades, colour combination, forms of blouse and skirt - I want to cherrish that lady for her posture. This is the way to do it. Awesome.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (7:57 AM) :

Leave to her to know how to elongate an already elegantly long frame! The high-waist on the skirt is perfect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:25 AM) :

Is this L'wren Scott? She always looks so put together, so classy and so stylish. That amazingly perfect figure doesn't hurt. I have also noticed that she has the coolest posture, I say cool because it's good (not great) and ladylike but ever so slightly wrong (fashionably so, of course)

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:25 AM) :

Tall, dark and lovely ... The proportions are perfect and the details are spot on right down to the Richies.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:30 AM) :

She has the figure of a perfectly sculptured vase. From her head down to her feet, this woman has captured the art of blending modern with classic as well as sophisticated sexiness with a feminine mystique.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 AM) :

That entire ensemble is effortlessly chic. What a gorgeous silhouette! A fantastic skirt - and those shoes! Perfect.

Blogger Allen said ... (8:42 AM) :

She sure looks great

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:43 AM) :

Bellissima...Italy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:44 AM) :

Bellissima.....to italian girl

Blogger Jennifer said ... (8:46 AM) :

this silhouette is the best proof that low-rise was not a good idea.

Blogger Caro said ... (8:53 AM) :

Ooh...I don't care if that blouse is thousands of dollars, where can I get it in every color? so perfect for summer office work!

Blogger Diana said ... (9:13 AM) :

PERFECT!

Blogger Filli said ... (9:21 AM) :

Gorgeous outfit!

Blogger Vallenet said ... (9:24 AM) :

I LOVE her shoes... Completely divine! And the skirt and shirt... What an elegant lady!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 AM) :

omg, i fell in love with this woman.
how elegant, how stunning is her outfit!
great great great!
must have all her clothes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 AM) :

The blouse is unbuttoned just a little too much (in a good way) -the outfit's overall conservative flair permits this. That figure/that hair/those legs - she is simply elegant and intriguing. the "Naughty Librarian" look is always a hit.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (9:52 AM) :

Understated. Perfect.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (9:53 AM) :

LOVE the high-waisted pencil skirt, and the pairing of brown and black. Great croc bag and pretty shoes. A perfect look for any woman who's not a teenager!

Blogger kbd said ... (9:59 AM) :

She got the proportions just right!

Blogger madeline said ... (10:00 AM) :

For me, everything is right here. The hair color, fabric choices, skirt waist, crumpled sleeve, D'Orsay pump...

None of her things scream who made them - it's all very understated and flattering. Frankly, it would be nice if more women were secure enough to do this instead of competing with their hyper au courant designer pieces screaming of signature print, buckle and logo.

LOVE her. Love love love her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:01 AM) :

Isn't this L'Wren Scott? Mick Jaggers's girlfriend?

Blogger c.lorraine said ... (10:05 AM) :

Wow, this woman is so chic and timeless. Love!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 AM) :

She´s L´Wren Scott!
What a body, nice poise, excellent outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 AM) :

I know it's old fashion but I love when purses match shoes.
and I love the mix of black and brown: black sunglasses, brown purse, black skirt, brown shoes.
and the light pink with gold accessories go a long way to make it work. the hourglass shape is classy, while the unbuttoned shirt allows for a hint of playfulness.

Blogger Sara said ... (10:17 AM) :

Chic chic chic. Very clean and smart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:18 AM) :

In a word --WOW. What first strikes is how relaxed & comfortable she looks. It's as if she was born with these clothes, they suit her so perfectly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

What a silhouette! Amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:29 AM) :

that skirt is timeless.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:52 AM) :

Brown, black 'n pink with gold?

To say it sounds potentially disturbing: there's lots of room to go wrong.

To see it actually come together nicely here is great.

Classic styling.

mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:26 AM) :

I love the proportions here! Great color, as well.

Blogger Jessica Chu said ... (11:33 AM) :

I love this entire outfit esp the high wasted pencil skirt!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

That's magical.

Blogger thatgirl said ... (12:16 PM) :

That look never gets old! She would be chic in the '60 and every decade straight through until now!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:17 PM) :

good grief what an amazing skirt! I like the way that other aspects (hair, blouse) are a bit ruffled next to that amazingly formal skirt...

Blogger JO said ... (12:27 PM) :

More perfect! :-)

Blogger Henna said ... (12:27 PM) :

That sillhouette is perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:47 PM) :

fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:02 PM) :

Absolutely gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:52 PM) :

WOW! The absolute embodiment of glamour. Fabulous!!!!!

Blogger Jen P. said ... (2:02 PM) :

Killer! The waist is back!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 PM) :

This is what I call style. She has mastered the art of remaining timelesss and classic all the while accentuating her best assets. Ravishing...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:21 PM) :

She looks like a tulip, in a good way :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 PM) :

It simply does not get any better. The classic shapes, the high/refined waist, the confident pose. This is age appropriate glamour at its simplest and chicest.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:48 PM) :

So elegant! I love the high waisted pencil skirt, her hair and accessories -- beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 PM) :

Such a loooooooong body line

Superb!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:11 PM) :

bellycapelli says: she is a GÖTTIN. whow. love it ... love it ... love it. sexy and strong. and beautiful.

Blogger Lilith said ... (3:22 PM) :

Wow, she makes high-waisted look great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

perfect.

Blogger elizabeth said ... (3:57 PM) :

To me this look represents classic European chic. She could be from the forties, sixties, nineties or the present! A loose button down blouse, carefree ponytail, heels and a high waisted black skirt is a look that will be timeless. With many baby doll and trapeze dresses so popular now its great to see a figure-hugging skirt that suits her beautifully.

Blogger sariah said ... (4:03 PM) :

I love the contrast of this structured, high-waisted skirt with the one earlier. This is another divine look. Her accessories definitely bring it up a notch. Both skirts are potentially difficult to pull off, but they both do it with such grace. This could be very va-va-voom but she relaxes it with that lovely shirt. She looks so cool and relaxed -- a realy feat in that skirt! lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:05 PM) :

It's nice to see a pegged skirt again.

Blogger Chris Ryan said ... (4:08 PM) :

Nice to see a pegged skirt now and then.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 PM) :

that pencil skirt fits perfectly. It's beautiful.

Blogger tn said ... (4:24 PM) :

Classic, elegant and glam. Love it. And, I deeply regret now not buying that skirt. I see how it works and I love it!!
Is it just me or does Sexy Secretary ALWAYS look good on nearly everyone?

Blogger benson said ... (4:34 PM) :

wow! she looks fabulous...what a skirt!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:16 PM) :

Oouch!
I'm in love!

Beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 PM) :

I'm curious if you would have shot this if it wasn't L'Wren Scott (since there's nothing especially remarkable out her outfit other than who's wearing it)?

Blogger matt williams said ... (5:37 PM) :

I love this look. It can go from the office to a party.
She resembles Karl Lagerfields muse Amanda H.

I also love the color pink.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:46 PM) :

Wow. Fashion illustration come to life, but with just-right undone buttons, necklace, not-too-sleek hair, and great smile. I love this.

Blogger Mrs Fashion said ... (5:47 PM) :

Sleek, chic and uber-polished.
I'd like to be this grown-up!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:50 PM) :

Wonderful silhouette, so chic, so "femme fatale". I think the key for the pencil skirt is too find the perfect lenght to make your legs look half a mile long.
Hey Sarto, let us know if you plan to visit Oklahoma any time soon, lots of interesting picture material in here ;)

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:14 PM) :

i have that exact outfit. I wear it when I want to look like I mean business.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:22 PM) :

Lovely - I would only change the part in her hair (moved off to the side).

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (6:38 PM) :

I love the silhoutte of this photo. That skirt probably doesn't allow her to walk properly but what a great look it gives to the figure.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:05 PM) :

Love the fit of the skirt, the shade of the shirt, and the shape of the sunglasses.

Blogger sofie king said ... (7:34 PM) :

Wow, what perfect elegance! I love how comfortable she looks in this outfit, too.

Blogger positively the same dame said ... (8:06 PM) :

great proportions. i just love the sanity of this look -- high style without the cartoonishness of recent fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:28 PM) :

What an outfit. What a body. Beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:11 PM) :

Yes, of course this silhouette rocks and is universally pleasing, but before everyone starts pushing this for every woman on the street, please remember that the true pencil skirt does not fit well into the average life. The high, fitted waist is fine, but a good taper right below the knees? That also requires at least delicate kitten heels (if not full out stilettos)? It will bind your legs together. The dowdier A-line, trapeze, bubble etc., while uglier, is much more permissable to movement.

Blogger Blaise said ... (10:03 PM) :

Wow.. I'm amazed with this look.. It's so elegant but it's something that can easily be pulled off..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 PM) :

What a fantastic silhouette. The classic pencil skirt with a kick. The mannish shirt with the elbow ties.

This look (plus the woman with the green structured skirt worn with a T. And, of course, Renata!) is so inspirational.

It's the twists that make us smile that elevate the true classics.

... Back to work. darn. it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:40 PM) :

that really is the optimum pencil skirt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:46 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:03 AM) :

Oh my, Who is she!? Seriously beautiful. just breathtaking.

Blogger [chocoley] said ... (1:07 AM) :

this is really a chic-look for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:44 AM) :

That silhouette is just outstanding!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:13 AM) :

Can you wear this look if you have a bosom?

Blogger Emma said ... (3:19 AM) :

This is pure love. Thank you, Sart!

Blogger veritas said ... (4:54 AM) :

Blogger Kai Santorino said ... (5:30 AM) :

so chic!

Blogger Pistachio Of Liberty said ... (5:45 AM) :

She looks like an old pattern envelope. Except in that case she might be peeking over her shades.

My instinct was to immeditely wonder how much [even] better that would look if the blouse had a teensy bit if Lycra in it, as the billowy waist is the problem I have when trying to rock this look. But that's the great thing about this skirt - it defines the waist so there's no need to worry about losing one's waist to the cloud of coming-untuckedness after an inevitable lean forward. Sweet.

As a novelty-seeking type, I do usually like the more eclectic looks you capture [in other words, "f*ed up" classics ; )] But still: purrrrdy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:38 AM) :

Wow! This is exactly how you should wear a high waist pencil skirt and a shirt tucked in. Timelessly chic.

Blogger Philippine said ... (7:55 AM) :
