Very nice!

Blogger Butch said ... (11:36 AM) :

Nope, sorry--the suit is ill-fitting, even if meant to be slimmer/shorter.

The fly-away collar doesn't exactly add distinction, either.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:13 PM) :

This guy has a beautiful face. But isn't it completely obvious to anyone with a shred of historical sense that, in two or three years, we will look back at costumes like this and say, What on earth were we thinking? Oh, and he really should wash his hair.
Sorry, this may be too negative for you Scott.

Blogger Directorial said ... (12:38 PM) :

Awful fit. Arms too tight. Fabric is twisting all over the place. And he needs collar stays in his shirt.

He's a handsome bloke, but, the clothes... definitely not.

Blogger jamesylala said ... (1:06 PM) :

guy in suit....hmpf

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:17 PM) :

classic....just love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:45 PM) :

I know this tight/short suit thing is very hip, but to me it just looks uncomfortable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:47 PM) :

To me this jacket of his seems too small. There is nothing really interesting in this photo, sorry.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:00 PM) :

the fact this young man is wearing a suit, makes me hopeful that this overly casual flip flop wearing baggy t shirt and slouchy pant unkempt hair attitude may be nearing an end. but i said hopeful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 PM) :

sexy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:04 PM) :

The jacket is just too small!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:20 PM) :

Jacket is ALL WRONG. Sleeves are too short and skinny, the shoulders are too narrow and the curve of the jacket's torso is puckering (in fact, the whole damn jacket is puckering) due to the improper fit. Can't see anything redeeming about the suit. Don't care for the unbuttoned shirt and tie either. You must decide, unbutton the shirt and wear no tie, or button it up and have a tie.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (2:21 PM) :

I LOVE grey.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:49 PM) :

it may not fit super well, but its better than jeans and a tshirt

Blogger anyimage said ... (3:27 PM) :

If he breathes he is going to pop a button! Way way way too small on him. You can achieve this look without the puckering and pulling we see here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:30 PM) :

jamesy,
But did you see the "guy?!?"

The slim fit is a touch extreme but nice.

mltt

Blogger dnqcnn said ... (4:10 PM) :

men like that just walk around on the streets?
stunned here

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

I don't think the suit was meant to follow the general guidelines of a good fit. The picture plays between the idea of formal/professional and casual/a bit sloppy. His hair is a little messy, he hasn't shaved, but yet, he's wearing a tightly fitted suit and a slim tie. I actually really enjoy this juxtaposition.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:26 PM) :

oh wow. hes beautiful....

what color is the suit again?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:26 PM) :

Perfect! The suit is very nice. Laidback style, but dressed aswell:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:55 PM) :

whether the suit fits "properly",or not,is utterly irrelevant, because this beautiful young man looks fabulous.rules only exist for people who don't know how to break them.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:35 PM) :

i don't mean to date myself, but this kid seriously looks like taylor hanson. right?? although, i can't really imagine him wearing such a super suit in new york, so i suppose it can't really be him. either way, i love the fitted jacket. it creates a really good contrast with everything going on above his shoulders. he looks like he was born in it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 PM) :

i do like the concept, loving narrower sleeves, not sure if this completely hits the right notes. really look at the proportions. his head and hands seem out of proportion to his wee frame and narrow shoulders, and i think the suit might be to blame. but then again, judging from his shirt and tie, perhaps this is supposed to be all together a more casual reinterpretation of the classic suit?

Blogger Three Repute said ... (11:20 PM) :

i love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 PM) :

The suit looks cool for sure, but I bet it is a bit difficult to move around in it. In this case I guess form dosen't follow function.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 AM) :

I actually really like the 'tight look' of a suit when it applies when buttoned only rather then the suit as a whole, which unfortunately is the case here. With the short length of both jacket and sleeves, instead of the cool and progressive modern look it just seems to suggest he got the size devestatingly wrong.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 AM) :

Nothing stylish about a suit that is just plain too small on him. His arm is bent because he probably can't straigten it out in that little boy's size 14 suit.

Blogger Keystofer said ... (3:13 AM) :

I genuinely think he made the one-button suit work... he won't look as outstanding as he does now if he were to go a size bigger on the jacket, i must say...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:50 AM) :

He looks like the lead singer of Hanson...

Blogger Cut of cloth said ... (9:18 AM) :

theres something
very appealing about this image
the man is beautiful undoubtedly
but his stance is appealing
like the moment a boy recognises himself as a man
the transition is
caught
held
revealed
and revealing
all in one moment

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:08 AM) :

I love this kind of short jacket!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 AM) :

guys, get over yourselves. this is a young man who wants to wear tailored clothes without looking as if he works in an office. last time i went to my tailor (kilgour on savile row, who made cary grant's suits) the fitters were talking about shorter jacket lengths etc. it's a way of making suits look modern again.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

curious fit, not very sure that it works on this guy.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:14 PM) :

whoever knew wearing a suit could be such a provocative thing to do? this man is clearly making a number of readers hot under the collar for DARING to wear a tightly tailored suit, because he is not doing it properly. But who said there was one way to wear a suit? Maybe it's ok to wear a suit to be sexually attractive (as this guy does) rather then because you have to as a lawyer (or something). Rip up them rule books...

Blogger Chelsea Martin said ... (3:36 PM) :

super sexy. A young look that works on young beautiful men like him.

Blogger klara. said ... (4:18 PM) :

jag skulle inte banga.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:40 PM) :

Very Rufus Wainwright-esque.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:54 PM) :

the skinny tie does not go with the wide collar.

But the grey is beautiful and so is the young man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 PM) :

This is very 60's London Mod. Reminds me of old video of rockers like the Rolling Stones from that era. Still look very cool!
SMJ

Blogger bellj said ... (10:59 PM) :

I think he looks hip NOW! Who cares about tomorrow or next year, I like him right now!

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:23 PM) :

A perfect example of why Thom Browne proportions do no work on any man over 5'11".

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 AM) :

Sure, this look will go out of (mainstream) style someday, but it will always be cool. The hip punkrock kids have been wearing shrunken 50s/60s stuff for years and years now... It just so happens that the corporate-types have deemed this as acceptable for now.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:03 AM) :

is that a Hanson brother? looks uncannily like one of them..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:04 AM) :

There are too many people here who think that it is sufficient to wear a small short suit to be the height of cool. It is self evident that small suits are just as susceptible to being wrongly fitted as normal ones. Done right its a look done wrong its just wrong. Try hard style is not sexy. Olus he loks like he slept in the thing. Which goes against the whole ethos of that look,

Blogger will anderson said ... (9:30 AM) :

i'd love to have a single button suit like that one. that suit is amazing. its a little snug, but damn nice.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (10:57 AM) :

Looks great-his overall look is good too. JI think the suit needs a pressing though.

Blogger marie said ... (1:20 PM) :

The guy is handsome, though his suit seems to be a bit askewed.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (1:33 PM) :

No, no, no. This is all wrong. I understand what this look is trying to accomplish, but it simply doesn't work. I don't care what the fashion of the moment is, a suit should at least fit well to look good. This one doesn't. Love the colour combination though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:19 PM) :

re the wrinkles and puckers, it looks as though he got caught in a rainstorm, which he most likely did.

but i have to admit, i'm hardly looking at his suit. he's just so beautiful.

Blogger BSullivan said ... (5:30 PM) :

I like suits that are cool looking and still classy/professional. I can't see being taken seriously in a business setting wearing this guy. On paper it's got all the right elements for a hip, modern suit. But the execution is all wrong...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:49 PM) :

Is he a model? Jeez, he's stunning. I actually like the short length of the jacket but think it should be let out through the body just a tad, so it's still fitted but not pulling at the button. And I concur with whoever commented on the wide collar/skinny tie = bad combo idea. Not that it really matters, though. He's trying, and with that face and body, he really doesn't have to if he doesn't want to.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 AM) :

I totally agree that he looks like taylor hansen.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

i like it. does anyone where i can get a suit like that?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 PM) :

wow! this photois great! the light is perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:12 PM) :

no,no, no, the suit is much too small. wake up guys...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 AM) :

Ooooooooooooooh...
He's H-O-T!

This suit is just made to be wear by a blond angel!
Ha ha ha ha ha...

What happens with teenagers guys...

When I was 17, I was just looking like a total retard!

Anyway, I'm not going to complain about that! ;-)

A.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 AM) :

this guy is a dead-ringer for Taylor Hansen!

jacket too tight, pants too big but fabric just right! interesting color and texture.

Blogger gentleman said ... (1:59 AM) :

When is taking fashion to far is the question I often ask? I think this is a perfect example, this suit is not complimenting at all. There is no replacing a properly fitting suit( IF YOU WANT TO BE DIFFERENT USE ACCESSORIES ARE SOMETHING BUT DON'T COMPROMISE FIT)!

Blogger ad said ... (7:09 AM) :

great that more and more guys are wearing the suits that fit too small, very school boy-ish.
we probably all laugh our heads off in a couple of seasons, but hey... at least this is a statement that stands out of the 'boring' crowd! you need to have confidence to pull this look off.
only negative : the hair... please go see a hairdresser soon...:-)

Blogger sunni said ... (11:49 PM) :

his a young man wearing a suit(a tight and wrinkly suit yes), not a kevin federline look a like. i think we should be grateful for that alone.

and his cute..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:24 AM) :

SO HOT

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 PM) :

i would love to pass him when walking in the city! i might trip and fall, though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:30 PM) :

He's like a suave Taylor Hanson!

Anonymous yoko said ... (6:56 PM) :

Isn't that Martin Webb from numéro japan??
