Blogger Unknown said ... (6:34 PM) :

Great shot! Love the frosty hues, and she's just divine!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:36 PM) :

she looks like an angel :)

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:36 PM) :

Thanks Scott, for showing stylish women of a certain age and not rendering us invisable!

Blogger Le Bouton said ... (6:49 PM) :

the difference between paris and the rest of the world.

Blogger odilean said ... (6:55 PM) :

magnificent. As soon as I go grey, I am dying my hair that shade. So many older women dye their hair the color that it used to be when they were younger and it can work to age them. She is as timeless as those columns in the background. I love her mona lisa smirk, too. She must have loved you! Was she a great subject to shoot?

Blogger Reepicheepers said ... (7:09 PM) :

She's lovely...I hope to look like that in about 30 years!

Blogger Cassaundra said ... (7:14 PM) :

isn't she beautiful - and her coat is gorgeous! really .. quite the perfect winter piece.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (7:19 PM) :

Beautiful and classic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

very charming!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

Gracefully aging. Love the scarf and the colour of her lipstick.

Blogger Celeste said ... (7:33 PM) :

she is beautiful. really, really beautiful.

i'm loving the fact that she lets her hair gray instead of dying it to what it used to be. her confidence really shows.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:35 PM) :

Purrrrr-fect! She's not just timeless and elegant, she's kinda saucy. She's a vixen!

Blogger so said ... (8:12 PM) :

what a stylish "old gal"...
(& i mean that in a good way!)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:40 PM) :

I love how monochromatic this shot is- right down to her hair. She is so beautiful!

Blogger in defense of retail therapy said ... (8:57 PM) :

she's exquisite

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:50 PM) :

she's so reserved - head wrapped, hands tucked, no feet showing. makes one notice her great legs even more. "can't touch this" could be her mantra - in a nice way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 PM) :

this woman is a superb example of what it means to age gracefully. if only women in America could look at this and realize that they do not need a nip and a tuck to look good as they get older. she is a woman of great style.

Blogger runway today said ... (9:54 PM) :

I love how she was not afraid to choose light colors. Her face pops out really nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:54 PM) :

le bouton said it all.

She is so beautiful....forgetting about the outfit for a second, look at her posture. Even sitting down she carries herself like a queen, no hunched shuffling old lady here. I PRAY to look this good when I'm her age. And I'm just in love with the toggle coat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 PM) :

I am 58: thanks for posting photos of the younger women.

lolo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:38 PM) :

she looks amazing, and what shapely attractive knees she has especially on an older woman. fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 PM) :

Stunning. Who is she?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 PM) :

She is illustrating the difference between fashion and style.

Blogger photolexx said ... (11:34 PM) :

When I grow old, I hope I'm half as fabulous as this woman.

Blogger Bella07 said ... (12:19 AM) :

. . the peaking hair to her amused eyes..to her pale subtle lips beautiful complexion and face.... and that coat.. all perfectly blend with the Grand Palais... she is part of the 20th century art nouveau architecture..

your shot is perfect. the color...the color.

Blogger Françoise said ... (12:21 AM) :

Snow White! She looks peaceful and happy The duffle coat is my favorite type of coat. She is elegant. Pure moment.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:36 AM) :

She is wonderful... in 40 years, I hope hope hope I can be anywhere close to a beautiful and stylish as she is!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:53 AM) :

divine!

Blogger Diana said ... (2:47 AM) :

I have a funny feeling to watch her.
Like she is not from this earth.
Supernatural. Perhaps a fairy or an angel....
It would be nice to see more color around her face.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:53 AM) :

She's so divine, who is she ?

She seems so "romanesque" ....

Thank's for that moment of grace and ...intelligence!

Blogger gabrielazeanadal@hotmail.com said ... (4:03 AM) :

I’m touched by this picture, Sart. So much beauty together: from the columns to that lady’s peaceful and wise smile, her pose, the coat, the hair, the shawl… There is a marvelous story floating in this picture’s atmosphere.

Blogger Kits said ... (4:17 AM) :

Fabulous

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:47 AM) :

What a stunner! There is something a bit snow queen here and it is wonderful.

I like the fact she chose a duffle coat rather than something more formal. If she had gone for the more "grown up" coat I think that could have made it look just too frosty and reserved.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:29 AM) :

She is a true beauty. Your photo does her great justice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:31 AM) :

less about the clothes, more about the face and the subtle, confident makeup.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 AM) :

Pure class, style & beauty Reminiscent of Grace Kelly. More of this please!

Blogger Cheltenhamdailyphoto said ... (6:53 AM) :

She looks incredible. Fasionable and elegant. Lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:05 AM) :

There's no way to comment this lady. Can't find words.

Blogger Butch said ... (7:20 AM) :

What do you wear when you're of a certaim age, and--thank, you, Jesus--you've allowed yor white hair to rrmain so?

You dress and look like this. Brilliant!

Blogger Style Salvage Steve said ... (8:45 AM) :

Wow, if I spend my sunset years with a wife like that I will a truly happy man! There is a danger with the colour palette for her to appear a little cold and severe but somehow she avids it and looks beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:38 AM) :

Beautiful woman, beautiful outfit, and the subtle colours of the picture are perfect. I'm 58 and facing the dilemma - go gray or not? Silver-gray looks great, salt&pepper (which is my case) - I'm not so sure...

Blogger DATALOG said ... (11:02 AM) :

effortless, timeless, gorgeous

Blogger riodjomama said ... (11:15 AM) :

she is gorgeous. white hair coupled with a warm white coat. like she brought the winter.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 AM) :

Love. She is beautiful and classic. Oil of Olay must work :-)

Blogger LJ said ... (11:39 AM) :

I read an article recently about how French women like to change their basic wardrobe of black, gray and red to one based on creams, browns and pinks as they age. This is the best example of why that philosophy works. Her pink lipstick picks up the color of her scarf and the creams and browns are so flattering. Perfect. One of my favorite fashion shots ever.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:41 AM) :

I am sending this picture to my mother, ASAP! You don't look at this woman and think "she must have been beautiful when she was younger." You just think, "this woman is beautiful!" So much style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 AM) :

I'm a "boomer" model here in Paris and I think she is also with my agency, for "boomers and seniors". It's so great to see you feature this photo. She gives any twenty year old a run for their money.
Superb!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 PM) :

she is beautiful

Blogger reverend dick said ... (12:08 PM) :

Boomin' Granny. Love those knee high boots and short skirt! GRRRRRRRRRR.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:37 PM) :

Ohh, ach, ahh! No more left to say.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:40 PM) :

She blows me away! Stunning! She is incredibly beautiful. Love that coat and scarf. I've never figured out how to wear a scarf like that and have everything stay in place. It looks like she has mastered it. I find her incredibly inspiring and I bow to her mad skills.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

Class and style. I love how she's owning that grey hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:57 PM) :

The cream color coat and rosy makeup seem to shout that winter is almost over!

Blogger Paul Pincus said ... (12:59 PM) :

This photograph is so beautiful. This lady is so incredibly beautiful. There is such harmony here. One of my all time favourites!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

Why why why oh why can't I be French? She's wonderful and her outfit is the perfect complement to her coloring. Absolutely brill.

Blogger Julie said ... (1:57 PM) :

I want to be the same when I'm older !

Blogger Anne Corrons said ... (2:29 PM) :

Blogger Rebecca Lydia said ... (5:37 PM) :

outstanding.

i hope to look this fantastic once i am older. beautiful photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:28 PM) :

Beautiful. I love that she has that French overbite, wide-set eyes and high cheeckbones.

Blogger Ischia Ragazzo said ... (8:29 PM) :

I wish that people wouldn't say 'when I get to her age I wish I looked that good'. Apart from being an insult IMHO can you imagine her being unattractive at 21? I don't think so. Unfortunately boys and girls you either have it or you don't. This lady has it.

Blogger Robin said ... (8:31 PM) :

Beautiful. Simple. Very French, with the overbite, wide-set eyes and high, full cheeckbones.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 PM) :

Elle est si jolie!

Blogger Turling said ... (10:45 PM) :

Exquisite.

Blogger pearlaceous said ... (11:03 PM) :

I like how she teamed up a casual coat with dressier items.. She gives off an aura of respect..

Blogger Scent Hive said ... (11:36 PM) :

I'm dying to see all of her boots!

I love her coat and scarf. What a beauty.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:47 AM) :

Simply wonderful. Her outfit is as classic as the architecture surrounding her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 AM) :

This photo stands out for color, composition, and the fact she is gorgeous.

Chronologically speaking it is refreshing to see someone over 30 owning their look. Gorgeous! Loving the impish smirk/smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:48 AM) :

Bravo ischia ragazzo - I couldn't agree more!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:02 AM) :

This is so beautiful, and makes me less scared of the fact that I one day also shall be over 30. I have always loved white hair. Gorgeus.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 AM) :

I wish that I´ll look like that when older... wonderful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:22 AM) :

so beautiful that i stared at her for so long!

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (9:23 AM) :

So beautiful. I love the icy white palette. Uber cool. Great shot.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:58 AM) :

and THIS is why I long to move to Paris...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:46 AM) :

I noticed that a picture of a stylish older woman usually genarates many complements (which is nice) and comments "I wish I would look that good at her age". Well, what is stopping you? Take care of yourself, don't be a fashion victim/slave, develop your own style, and you'll be fine. Nobody will force you into a pastel sweats or bad plastic surgery on your 40 birthday! You also don't have to be French...although it may help...a bit;-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 AM) :

I agree with Ischia Ragazzo. I'm sure she was stunnningly beautiful at any stage of life. She looks like the ghost of Amelie's grandmother.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:30 AM) :

the paddington coat, the perfect complexion, the neutral neutral color palette...what a natural angel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:58 PM) :

On behalf of those who have let their gray shine through, thank you.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:14 PM) :

As a woman of a certain age myself, I am so pleased to see my age group (and beyond) featured here. She is truly a portrait of self-pride. She isn't panic-stricken over her years--she's celebrating them by drawing attention to her coloring, not fighting it. Le Printemps en l'hiver...tres, tres chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 PM) :

That lipstick is perfect, elevating, and expert.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 PM) :

*bowing*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:03 PM) :

absolutely stunning!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 PM) :

She is gorgeous, and what perfect style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 AM) :

What a lesson here...... she looks simple and modern and timeless and elegant and the clothing doesn't scream "Designer of the moment!" and there's no "it" bag anywhere around -- she just looks comfortable in her own skin and beautiful --- and what man wouldn't fall in love with her as he passed by?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:18 AM) :

Did her boots have high or low heels? This is quite important.

Blogger jkh said ... (5:42 AM) :

perfection!
(plus another arist's shot... more models like this and your star will never sink)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:49 AM) :

Wow.....now this is what I call ELEGANCE. *bows*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:10 PM) :

everything about this woman is perfection.
the photograph really complements everything: what she is wearing, the background.
the black stalkings and boots work well with the creams and the grays.
beautiful work.

Blogger KLynn said ... (4:26 PM) :

This, folks, is what's known as aging gracefully. You don't have to look like a frump, or like you're stuck in the past (80s/70s/60s/50s, take your pick), or like you're trying to keep up with your kids and grandkids (tres declasse). You just have to choose clothes and styles that work with you and not against you.

I completely agree that this woman has genetics (and I'm guessing environment) on her side but there's no reason why any woman of any age can't look stylish and appropriate if she takes the time to do her homework. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money, either.

Seriously, Sart...if you ever publish a book of your photos, you MUST MUST include this one. I will snap it up in a hot minute.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:45 AM) :

Thanks for giving us something to aspire to. She is beautiful and incredible.

Blogger Olimpia Liberti said ... (1:48 PM) :

superb
love ton sur ton

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:19 PM) :

...speechless..even after 5 min gazing at her i still can't find the words to describe what i see..

Blogger Zelmarific said ... (10:25 PM) :

what a beautiful woman!

Blogger Peter FNFN said ... (12:53 AM) :

i love this shot. it is my opinion that we can all look great at any age, and with any income. it's all about simplicity and class.

just to reiterate what people have already said, she could not have done anything better than let her gray hair shine! i LOVE gray hair... and have thought about dying my hair gray on occasion... and i'm a 23 yr old guy. HAHA

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:47 PM) :

Yes, she does look great - apart from all the make-up. It looks over done, and like it's going to mark her coat. I doubt she really needs any. Is it really just me who thinks its too much?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:50 PM) :

Ethereal.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:26 PM) :

Nice and gentle colors on an older lady.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 PM) :

she's the woman I want to be when I grow old

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:27 PM) :

Simply stunning

Blogger brando said ... (5:50 PM) :

This is how you wish your grandmother was, eternally young and (fashionably, culturally) forward but still sweet. You know she probably spoils her grandkids with trips to museums and the like.

Blogger Marie-Laure said ... (3:06 AM) :

So chic for her age ! I love the pic

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:08 AM) :

effortless simple that transcends grace

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:37 AM) :

What an amazing woman! Love this photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:53 AM) :

I'd be damn proud if my grandmama looked like that. She looks amazing, her clothes just enhance her elegance, and thats what clothes are supposed to do. Fantastic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:36 PM) :

I love the way she's playing up her white hair. I don't think she looks angelic - i think she looks like a woman who BITES. Truly angelic looks are rarely beatiful if you're over 15, in my opinion.

Snowwhite grown old and distinct and interesting.
With truly great legs.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:13 PM) :

Great style, but in need of more color, since she only has white, grey and cream on, including her hair.

Blogger Kelly Snelling said ... (8:01 PM) :

perfection. she makes me want to grab a canvas and paint her portrait pronto.

Blogger komankova said ... (9:45 AM) :

YES!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 AM) :

She looks like royalty!

Blogger Jana said ... (11:56 AM) :

Beautiful shot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:09 PM) :

As somebody who is teetering on the edge of middle age (if I live to be 90)I say let's just call her beautiful and leave it like that.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:56 AM) :

I don't want to look like her when I'm old. I want to look like her NOW! I don't care if I'm only 30. NOW!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 PM) :

See?

Now this, is WHY people with light hair look splendid in winter-white paired with grey.

Cannot beat this color-combination.

LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PIC.

Older wone can also be sexy as hell: look at this woman! Gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:01 AM) :

Foxy mama. I love the confident Mona Lisa smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:42 AM) :
