Es une etole en fourrure?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:33 AM) :

She looks very sweet, I have always loved dark tights with dark shoes {very french}. Zoé

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:42 AM) :

Structurally perfect.

Blogger yu shan said ... (3:46 AM) :

amazing. she looks like a little girl, the way she's holding the shawl.

and i love the way the color of her tights complement the tones of navy of the shawl.

Blogger Anacleta Coqueta said ... (3:51 AM) :

Nice and shy!

Blogger jessica_buyer said ... (3:58 AM) :

very pretty!!!!!

Blogger Bluetramontana Style said ... (3:59 AM) :

beautiful...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:59 AM) :

what a beautiful photograph! it's exquisite. The sculptor is so other worldly i feel it would be trite to comment on her clothes, however those prussian blue tights work really well. Wonderful, Sart, thank you.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 AM) :

it's her briefcase and blue legs that seal the deal for me.

-voyno

Blogger Barbara said ... (4:01 AM) :

mmmmm......not sure about this. Almost works, but the elements are not quite right. Definite eastern bloc look to it. Do like the colours though...and her dress/coat. If she were in Paris she would have saved herself with the perfect shoes or boots. The whole image is harmonious and gentle....

Blogger Eleonora Giterman said ... (4:10 AM) :

owesome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:20 AM) :

what a horrible building behind the girl.... daylight in moscow is almost grey.... :((((((

Blogger Olviya said ... (4:24 AM) :

i love the way you see Russia!
thats not that too much glamourous as we used to think.
very interesting to find out ur impression from fashion week, as far as i know, You are visiting that event even without ur camera?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:31 AM) :

she's looking good.
she's an artist.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:35 AM) :

Those stockings! I really love this shot.. there is a Tim Burton vibe to it.

Blogger Grrg said ... (4:36 AM) :

SARTORIALIST SHOT OF THE YEAR

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:43 AM) :

I love it. The colours, the bag, the face, the hair.... Its all so right.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 AM) :

Vintage is a fashion trend in Moscow. I think you already noticed it.

Blogger Lady Lala said ... (4:57 AM) :

I do not like much because his coat looks like a blanket from home, the rest I like a lot. Besos

Blogger suzee said ... (5:00 AM) :

Everything is so harmonious! Something is definitely happening here. The combination of grays and blues of the outfit mimicking the background are very interesting as well as the contrast of her luxurious fur shawl against the dreary chipped walls. Her facial expression and gesture also gives a dark sweet warmth to this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:18 AM) :

Wow, what a silhouette - and what a face!

I can't decide which I love more: the beautiful fur cape, or the dinky briefcase (it's EXACTLY the right size).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:34 AM) :

Oh, the blue of the blue stockings is as dark and deep as Yves Klein's BLUE :-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:43 AM) :

lovely fur! or is it a fur..thing? :)

Blogger Dominica said ... (6:16 AM) :

looks very French indeed, just been in Paris so I can tell from what I have seen down there...
Adore her petrol-blue tights ; the color comes back in her fur scarf (love the *changeant* effect !)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:17 AM) :

This is just the sweetest pic, the rich purply grey tones set the mood......very filmic, I love the oddness of her hard square bag against all her softness......Perfect :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:21 AM) :

she looks like a painting. that is how perfect the proportions actually are here. and your shot is brilliant as ever.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:41 AM) :

So far Moscow has been a breath of fresh air. Style with presonality. Nothing too trendy so far... Which is a good thing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:44 AM) :

beautiful! with your photographs, it's less about the style and more about the magic created by the composition, colour, setting, mood, etc.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:06 AM) :

this is beautiful. almost painfully so.

Blogger You Were There, Too. said ... (7:10 AM) :

Just, beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:21 AM) :

navy tights is so fresh

Blogger Montreal Street Views said ... (7:25 AM) :

Very nice pix!

Blogger Nick Bograd said ... (7:56 AM) :

I like the mix of colors they all come together nicely. The black bag makes a good statement against the blue tights but then the shoes bring it all back together.

Blogger TMFA said ... (7:56 AM) :

I like the small black briefcase and the modesty of the clothing in contrast to the fur coat.

Blogger maggie_hogan said ... (7:59 AM) :

oh my gosh

i ADORE her

i love how the whole look seems like it was washed and bled out in the rain~

Blogger Miguel said ... (8:37 AM) :

Great... the face, the inocence, the purse. A great picture

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 AM) :

I love her "blanket from home"!
-K

Blogger Baies d'Erelle said ... (8:51 AM) :

She seems so little and fragil, but what a look!!

Blogger SHOP and BAR DENIS SIMACHEV said ... (8:55 AM) :

i love your moscow girls. ive never seen those girls before. they are beautiful

Blogger InStudio Blog said ... (8:56 AM) :

I like everything about this photo, the composition, the background, the girl and her clothes. It seems like you caught her talking to herself; and understood Russian. ;- )

Blogger John-Bryan Hopkins said ... (8:59 AM) :

Love her

She looks like a girl from a story book...

the wrap is great and seems very versatile

Blogger Q's Daydream said ... (8:59 AM) :

She looks fantastic! :o)

Blogger Ivy Lane said ... (9:00 AM) :

I think she is adorable. Want bangs like that!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 AM) :

Love the muted colors; the rose-gray coat and blue-gray stockings. The colors are so harmonious and work very well with her complexion. It's really beautiful how the colors are repeated in the fur. This is the kind of beauty that mimics the beauty found in nature.

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (9:08 AM) :

She's very cute. First impression was that she'd cleaned her brushes on her wrap, my favorite thing is the way the wrap relates to the background. Everything in the shot works beautifully, as if she's wearing her surroundings or is a part of them. Great photograph.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 AM) :

i love this look. the colors all brought together in the wrap. the blue tights with darker shoes. the fabric on the dress. her bangs. she's lovely and well put together.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 AM) :

I love the miniature brief case. It adds a boldness to the simple outfit.

Blogger cat minoki said ... (9:13 AM) :

Simply perfect. The pose, the clothes, the colours, tha background, the light, blue, vieolet, grey, a touch of yelow and black....
everything is so soft and pastel, I especially like the sharp and strong lines of her black suitcase, fine contrast!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:34 AM) :

that briefcase looks like a clarinet case... but i guess it's not likely to be one.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:50 AM) :

Interesting to see real Moscow and real old surroundings like this one, with tasteful charming young people.

Blogger lazibird said ... (9:59 AM) :

I love the Moscow style, but am a little disappointed that, taking us to this new place, you decided to use an aperture that leaves the background so blurry! Please show us some Moscow while you are at it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:05 AM) :

It is very difficult to find such background in today's reconstructed moscow.
Anyhow, this picture is more similar to the truth about Russian girls

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 AM) :

i love how the whole look could be worn on an older woman and be considered frumpy, but this woman's beauty and body language and tiny briefcase make her look beautiful and unique.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 AM) :

This is just heavenly. She looks so effortlessly chic. She probably doesn't even know she is (which is the best kind!) But more than, she has that look that makes people around her (I, for one) want to get to know her a bit more.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 AM) :

magnifique!

Blogger Mira Vales said ... (10:26 AM) :

This is more French than Russian a the petrol-blue stockings and the briefcase reminds me of early Alfred Hitchcock female characters; It seems the trip to Russia was a good idea;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:29 AM) :

This makes me want fur. Off course recycled would make it better. ;)

Blogger TEXTSTYLES said ... (10:35 AM) :

she looks like a little doll
the muted colours are truly gorgeous and speak so loudly
that bag just brings it all together

Blogger Jonathan said ... (10:43 AM) :

The tones and that shawl. Yum,

Blogger cami falcão said ... (10:51 AM) :

i like her attitude and the colors are great, but again, the fur ruins it all

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:08 AM) :

LOVELY! She looks so cute and girlie, but dangerous in a way. ; ) Those blue tights are gorgeous... I am just wondering what she is packing in that little brief case.

Blogger jen said ... (11:11 AM) :

i'm loving the fashion sensibility of these moscow portraits - so subtly different than the other cities you frequent. please keep traveling the world to share these varied perspectives with us!

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (11:17 AM) :

This is so innocent and sweet. I love the way she is standing. And the softness of her face…nice. I especially love the background. The wall behind her on the right matches her wrap. Gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:45 AM) :

PERFECT shot, Sart. Just perfect. The framing of her upper half in the archway. The light blue painted brick mimicking the dark blue of the tights. So gorgeous.

And the girl - WOW. I'm so in love. I can just picture her reading with tons of blankets on a Sunday morning.

Sart - question, how did she come to pose like this? Did you suggest anything? I just can't imagine how someone who hasn't modeled would have an instinct to pull that wrap up to her mouth - it's SO PERFECT!

Blogger meredith said ... (11:51 AM) :

I have been following your blog since May and this photo is my favorite so far. It moves me as art. (The outfit is pretty close to art, too.)
THANK YOU.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:11 PM) :

this could be my favorite shot of yours. the yellow wall in the background makes it. i'm excited to see what else you have from moscow!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 PM) :

Oh it's unusual to see a look from Russia there!! nice
I want it not to be the last one

Blogger Stephanie said ... (12:27 PM) :

She looks so much like a little girl. The colors are both beautiful and sad.

Blogger Karin said ... (12:33 PM) :

I love the dark blue colour of her tights, combined with black shoes, and how the shade of her skirt gradually makes the tights look just as black as the shoes are...

Blogger green lantern said ... (12:36 PM) :

Great picture! Mood, attitude, color...starkly muted somewhat. As for the outfit...I like the bottom up...shoe, stockings, bag...but it breaks up with the dress and wrap. A jersey-cloth dress would work but the wrap leaves me wanting something else. Did I say great picture?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:41 PM) :

Again a winner! Three for three. What strikes me is how comfortable these Russian dolls look in their skin. It's beautiful dressing, not over the top. I love them all!

Blogger Petulia said ... (12:41 PM) :

lovely- I like the color of the tights. I am surprised you haven't photographed more flashy things..I would expect a good amount of gold and bling..am I wrong?

Blogger Wanderlusting said ... (12:42 PM) :

~~~HAUNTING~~~
The colors, the shades, the mood, all perfect. Sweet photo and a sweet looking girl - I especially love her shawl, very cozy. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one doing navy tights and black shoes :)
Blogger becca said ... (12:55 PM) :
I love the feel of this image. And the blue tights really make the look.
Blogger The Spicers said ... (1:03 PM) :
Gorgeous fur, and I love the color mix of brown, navy and black. It works beautifully without looking overly thought-out.
Blogger jkkjb said ... (1:24 PM) :
BEAUTIFUL! Everything about this photograph... simple artistic beauty.
Blogger Unknown said ... (1:37 PM) :
A pictorial watercolor.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:39 PM) :
Like this photo allot
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:45 PM) :
It's true, isn't it? Give a girl a fur to chew on and she's catnip to a photographer. Still the detailing on her wrap, the tights, and the light blue wall make this more than a gamine shot.
Blogger Alex said ... (2:24 PM) :
Sweet!!!
She looks very nice and the pose - perfect!!!
Blogger VanessasRunway said ... (2:31 PM) :
Me encanta! :)
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 PM) :
Beautiful! I love the black tights and the shape/style/color of the bag. Those little details mean so much.
Blogger katy said ... (3:44 PM) :
love this. the muted colors and it looks comfy!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:57 PM) :
She is shy but hot!
Blogger Polina said ... (4:10 PM) :
yes its fur for the musquash.
this "blanket from home" my mather's made)))
my grandma's briefcase (50th years)
and shoes (80th)
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 PM) :
OH! This photo and this woman have a timeless, beguiling Renoir-esque quality. All the more charming to know she is an artiste. LOVE this elegant ensemble, the colors, and will attempt to emulate it tomorrow!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:03 PM) :
it seems you are discovering a very chic moscow. Did you expect it?
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:07 PM) :
love it! seems to me that individually many of these pieces (including the wall/archway!) would be a little passe but all together paint an amazing portrait.
(I want the tights)
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:10 PM) :
This really speaks to me.
I love how the colors in the setting complement her look. Then there is the look itself:
Great Tights
Super structured bag
The shawl
Her hair
Terrific!
Blogger orchid lover said ... (5:27 PM) :
This is the loveliest photo. wow!
Your blog is so cool...but why not take some trips down 'south' for fashion inspiration? This year, I've gained a lot from seeing fashion-forward people in Johannesburg, Rio and Accra. At least South and East Asia should be an obvious trip-- so long as you're in Moscow!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:18 PM) :
I recognize her - anyone know her name? I think she shows her with in NYC.
AMAZING shot, Sart!
Blogger La Clocharde said ... (6:40 PM) :
LOVELY!!!!
I love the colour of her tights and her bag so much!!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:41 PM) :
Horoshenkaya!
Blogger Rakel said ... (6:43 PM) :
Great!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:09 PM) :
GORGEOUS. i love how the tights bring out the bluish-grey hues in the fur. and her briefcase is adorable
Blogger Tom said ... (7:12 PM) :
It looks cold (in all the Moscow photos, not just this one.)
I like the way that these photos bring out a side of Russia that is reserved for people who actually think about what they are wearing. I am sure that in finding these subject there would have been a huge amount of exposure to the trashier side of young modern Russian society.
Blogger majse said ... (7:30 PM) :
That look couldn't have been better! It's like, all in one, strike and SCOOOOOORE! :D
Blogger Mr.Unibrows said ... (7:48 PM) :
This is a beautiful photograph. Framed nicely with that dark alley way.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:09 PM) :
I haven't commented a long time but had to express how this lady looks so lovely and poetic
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:35 PM) :
i love the shoes paired with the tights. her little briefcase is the cutest ever. this is lovely.
Blogger Unknown said ... (8:48 PM) :
The inky purple is perfecto. :)
Blogger Unknown said ... (8:49 PM) :
Her suitcase is the exact structure of what my next purse is going to look like.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:50 PM) :
This is a beautiful picture!! The colors in the background, that yellow with that soft blue in contras with her tights and soft brown coat, its amazing. The colors are perfect!!
Blogger Hek said ... (8:59 PM) :
This picture is pure art!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:31 PM) :
great style!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:02 AM) :
I am in love with this photograph for so many reasons! It is so simple, and yet I actually feel a bit chilly from all of the greys and blues in the picture. Then her poncho and her blue pantyhose make me feel like it is autumn. This photo tells a story. I love how the background is just barely fuzzy to bring the girl more into focus. Besides the beautiful outfit, my favorite part of the photo is how every color goes so well with one antoher. It seems as if this was an effortless photo that just happened to fall into place.
Blogger vufrityri said ... (12:32 AM) :
This outfit is amazing! something i'd love to wear!
Blogger Anastasia said ... (12:45 AM) :
she looks scared of you Sart!!!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:49 AM) :
that little case is magical!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 AM) :
the eyes.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:40 AM) :
something hinting at Grimms fairytales about her - a chic little matchgirl who just found her way out of the dark lonely forest...wonder what is in her little black case?
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 AM) :
such a moscow look ^_^ i really love it.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:29 AM) :
Looks like the heroine in a Russian fairytale!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:42 AM) :
commenting from behind what was once the iron courtain, I have to say, this coat (color+fabric) has a certain "socialist" touch... but nevertheless I love this! so much harmony in those soft colors. and the girl's so sweet.
lovely pic, as always.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:36 AM) :
i'm freezing just looking at this picture.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 AM) :
Agreed that it looks like a blanket.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:20 AM) :
Sart! Are your pictures really representative for Moscow ?
Or have you been selective because you want to promote a certain style that´s not screaming: Money, money,money !?
It will take at least a few generations before all flashiness even starts to disappear from Russia.
Until then looking rich will be the same as style for Russian women.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :
i love the colors that you have found in Moscow, albeit a little drab but they work great together with the light and back drop.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:24 PM) :
She looks very nice but there is some kind of scarry feeling about it.. like from a horror movie.. that litle bag, her face, like if she were planning somethig horrendous! But in a stilish way! hahah
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 PM) :
I like the color of her tights, the shoes and the bag/briefcase. I can't really see the coat, so I am neutral on it but what is that thing around her shoulders? Fur? A blanket? Weird color, too... In any case, I think she'd look better without it.
Blogger Gia said ... (1:47 PM) :
this outfit is very nice and it's vintage:)
Blogger M About Town said ... (4:05 PM) :
I am dying for that bag
Blogger Leslie Rogers said ... (4:11 PM) :
I like everything about this photo.
Blogger aviewaskew said ... (7:18 PM) :
her eyes drawn you into this shot..the colors mute the impact.
she is innocently sexy...the colors speak for themselves.
stunning...sart--u rock!
Blogger Zelmarific said ... (11:15 PM) :
What a lovely little briefcase. Very brief.
Blogger Pavlin said ... (7:45 AM) :
She is very Russian, moreover she is very Moscowish (if I may put it this way).
Forget glazy-faux-glamorous girls. They are longing for this, they've never seen good clothes until after-nineties.
You can never understand. You never lived in USSR.
But this is true city-style of old classic Moscow.
Bravo for catching it. You do have an eye for this, I should say.
Blogger Unknown said ... (1:40 PM) :
little red riding hood.
Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (5:14 PM) :
Amazing!
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 PM) :
I like the way u frame her in the archway. nice composition.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 AM) :
love it love it love it. if there was a winter season in my place, i would definitely wear this outfit. this is exactly how I want to look like. pretty! :)
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:48 AM) :
the bag is very pretty: chic, minimal and black similar to Grace Kelly's one in REar Window,isn't it?
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :
the bag is very pretty: chic, minimal and black similar to Grace Kelly's one in Rear Window, isn't it?
Blogger Cassaundra said ... (1:41 AM) :
very minimal, indeed.
love the navy tights.
Blogger .......... said ... (3:46 AM) :
those tights! would like to see her artwork. and by "artwork," i am referring to her sculptures. though her ensemble is a work of art as well!
Blogger Polina said ... (6:50 AM) :
I made not only sculptures, but also I am engaged which than in the fashion industry - I draw on clothes and accessories))) also I do ornaments and interior subjects
(I work over registration of the my blog, I wish to place photos in it )
I wished to take to be photographed with myself a bag with my drawing on it, but it bright green and did not approach on style to all my clothes, therefore I took a small black small suitcase :)
Blogger Holly Brindley said ... (12:40 AM) :
cute, the fringe.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 AM) :
Hot HOT HOT! The square bag does it. Straight out of a storybook.
Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 PM) :
