I wonder if, in some box, up in the attic, I could find the barbour I used to wear at school...

Scott,

Can we see some shoes? There is more to a man than just his torso.

I love this pic, Sart!! I love jackets which are slightly small (especially a size/two smaller leather jackets like the Ramones sported).

Barbour jackets/coats seem to be very popular these days. I especially love the quilted ones.

Inspiring! Thanks!

mmm..great!

Blogger diane said ... (11:54 AM) :

Looks like an interesting type, smart, a little rebellious.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:54 AM) :

I love this! i love a short his coat is....AJK

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 AM) :

Love this shot! - the cigarette, his expression and pose, it's great! i love the piled on proportions with different colours but all the same tone. The jacket is cool, it looks like a Barbour but i've never seen one cut that short. Maybe he had it tailored? Gives me an idea for one of the assortment of aged waxed jackets i've got piled up in the UK...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 AM) :

This man is so paris.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:05 PM) :

What a badass.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 PM) :

That takes absolutely all the practicality out of a Barbour. Is he wearing a small child's jacket?

Blogger London Boy said ... (12:33 PM) :

This is the Tim, the Fashion Director of Katie Grand's new magazine, LOVE.

Blogger David said ... (12:34 PM) :

Must've shrunk in the wash

Blogger Fat Chick said ... (12:37 PM) :

Is it the lighting, or how did he get his blacks to match so well? I can never do that.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 PM) :

Smug, love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 PM) :

I cant decide on this one...It has a special something to it that makes it cool but it is also something that is not right. I wonder?

Blogger No Salvation said ... (1:43 PM) :

I would never dare to cut my barbour in half, but now I know that it looks amazing, I'm very tempted to!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:14 PM) :

Does anybody know, which version of Barbour jackets this one is ? Its looks too perfect be self tailored. The short version looks very contemporary.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 PM) :

Please forgive my lack of style savvy, but what on earth is a "barbour jacket"? Is that a brand name?

Blogger 3BestFriends said ... (3:10 PM) :

I used to have such a nice Barbour that I got for christmas one year. Too bad that I was 10, and have since outgrown it. At the time i actually think i hated it.

Blogger Petulia said ... (3:29 PM) :

Love the short barbour. I remember when everyone in Italy wore the longer one..such a huge trend in the 90s:-)

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (3:43 PM) :

I have given up on finding a Barbour at a thrift store. I am just going to have to suck it up and pay full price. Jorge from W Palm Beach

Blogger Cherry Junkie said ... (3:58 PM) :

rarely imagined barbour and chic would end up in the same line but the youthfulness of this man and his ensemble really deserves the title. his jumbo neck muffler scraf is quite awesome.

Blogger Jim Kent said ... (4:16 PM) :

i like the color and texture, but his silhouette looks a little female.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:40 PM) :

For some reason, this makes me think of the music "videos" by Jacques Brel (who was Belgian, lest anybody think he was French!). They were shot in the 1950s and 1960s, very artsy, with dancers who look like this gentleman.
A timeless look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:30 PM) :

its the barbour spey (a jacket for wading/fishing), i think they still make it..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:57 PM) :

Not a little female; a lot female. I think it's the length of the jacket (which I, for one, think it looks stupid).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 PM) :

bah-hahahaha... looks like an old lady.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:10 PM) :

is it just me or does this man look pregnant?

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (8:31 PM) :

wow, motivates me to wear my short jacket!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:00 PM) :

BADASS COOL!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 PM) :

The short Barbour is for fly-fishing (note the D-ring on the right shoulder - for hanging gear from). The short torso keeps the bottom hem from getting wet when you're wading in a stream. Don't think this chappy's been out on the Big Two-Hearted any time recently, but he has a vibe. Is that A sweater and scarf or all 1 garment?

Blogger John Danner said ... (10:24 PM) :

Such a great expression.

Great fit.

Blogger Foster Huntington said ... (10:50 PM) :

is that a barbour jacket?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:30 PM) :

The layering is one highlight of this shot - very delicate mix of materials to give black-on-black a new twist. I'm thinking if same-color layering only works with black?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 PM) :

A sassy lad, if there ever was! Love this photo. How can a still body have so much energy?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:33 AM) :

This is a Barbour Fly Fishing Jacket - it is so short to avoid getting it wet whilst you are standing in the water. It is no more in production but browsing ebay.co.uk you should easily find a good used one.
(A Barbour should of course always look like you inherited it ;) )

Cheerio...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:42 AM) :

The silhouette is far too feminine in my point of view but each to his own!

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:34 AM) :

not a fan of this ensemble
he looks a little pear shaped
nice wintery feel though (from an australian's perspective!!)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:51 AM) :

I really wish we could see the rest of him, lovely pic tho!

Blogger miss sophie said ... (9:00 AM) :

love the mini Barbour. he wears it almost as if it's a a leather jaket - very cool.

Blogger UESman said ... (9:20 AM) :

like the idea. Works well on a man of this frame. Also, he has a great sense of proportion and knows how to use it to create a striking look.....that said, I don't think I would ever wear this! haha.

Blogger Rael said ... (10:15 PM) :

this is a little more than amazing!
his expression and proportions of the garments are just right. hes got this cheeky look to compliment his cheeky style.

Blogger Metro Profile said ... (10:52 PM) :

Something not quite nice about how his sweater billows over his pants. I think the jacket is nice though and would look good with something slimmer underneath.

Blogger thestyleadvisor said ... (1:18 AM) :

Not the most flattering silhouette although I do like the idea.

Blogger maximilian said ... (7:19 AM) :

truly love what he's wearing! the leather jacket and scarf! yum!

Blogger  said ... (11:04 AM) :

héhé, pure toph ! Nice regard

Blogger Tamsin said ... (2:39 PM) :

looks like it's time to break out the barbour again...

Blogger wip27 said ... (2:38 PM) :

oh this is just wonderful!

Blogger charlotte elizabeth said ... (10:33 AM) :

i think its quite possible if I go to paris I may never come home. he's too cute. great photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:40 PM) :

Normally i wouldn't say something so shallow, but i think i'm in love with this foto...!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:08 PM) :
