oh, I have those shoes...

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (8:44 AM) :

Wow, that's some stylish security.

Blogger ginjin3 said ... (8:59 AM) :

i like the silhouette on this one. the texture on the sweater works great with the rest of the outfit. the final touch of the leather bag makes the whole thing. without that, the overall outfit would look normal. great pic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:02 AM) :

how...curious!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:08 AM) :

Surprisingly very spiffy. I love the socks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:19 AM) :

Awesome! Love the three layers over the shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:19 AM) :

And the bag of course!

Blogger stephanie-sarah said ... (9:22 AM) :

is he actually security or wearing the vest for fashionable purposes? how amusing if it was the first.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (9:22 AM) :

Are you sure his from a security company. Some people wear security or even F.B.I. clothing-pieces.

I need his bag. It'll make my life more complete.

Blogger Stephanie Clayton said ... (9:23 AM) :

Perhaps only in Paris would one see on-duty Security dressed so stylishly!

Blogger diane said ... (9:25 AM) :

What an interesting photo! It looks as though someone is giving a speech.

Blogger stylethread said ... (9:40 AM) :

with war-time, military inspired pieces become popular. this must be a reflection of "terrorist-time" mixed with "war-time"

I always find the ouzi carrying police unnearving on the metro platforms. I bet they would give this guy a hard time if they came across him.

Blogger thestyleadvisor said ... (9:49 AM) :

The bag looks great. The sweater and scarf is quite nice as well, from what I can see. The rest looks a bit mismatched, like he threw one random things from a thrift store.

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (9:59 AM) :

Wow! The whole look is so great! The juxtaposition of the huge bag and "security" is hilarious!

Blogger Julicious Fashionicious said ... (10:04 AM) :

The guy has so many details which are making his look awkward, but I LIKE )) Security vest is unexpected windfall !

Blogger Mo said ... (10:08 AM) :

well dressed protector? wonderful!

Blogger Yellow Vespa Guy said ... (10:41 AM) :

I wonder what's in the bag?

Blogger Nina said ... (11:57 AM) :

I love the bag.
Security can have style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

this man must be having fun with that vest. I should hope that security might have on tougher shoes in case things should get difficult. otherwise great bag!

Blogger APT909 said ... (1:26 PM) :

I love this outfit very much!! the cap is awesome!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:30 PM) :

love the bag!!! i have these shoes and are cute and comfy! really like the layered sweater over the security best...cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:32 PM) :

hahaha FASHION SECURITY!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:01 PM) :

I find the outfit to be rather tasteless and tacky, especially the "Security" part. Unfortunately, I've got nothing good to say. This whole outfit seems to be arranged by a six year old and shouldn't be part of the Satorialist.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:34 PM) :

wait... i'm confused. is he actually security?

either way, love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:54 PM) :

Fun - It looks like he cut the sleeves off the jacket. Probably even more interesting for him, since it's in English and not French.

Blogger Daisy said ... (10:57 PM) :

my new favorite

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 PM) :

Nice overall look... understated with interesting textures. And then the socks are a delicious blast back to fifth grade when my friends and I wore ours the same way and thought we were the height of teen fashion.

Blogger Kneecoal said ... (12:36 AM) :

that bag is AMAZING.
can someone pleaseeee tell me where it's from?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 AM) :

Jeez even security guards dress better than most people- thats just cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:35 AM) :

to err is human , to be fashionable is parisian

Blogger About Me said ... (12:05 PM) :

humorous fashion...loves it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:28 PM) :

I second Jesse: A very stylish security! I love the cognac leather bag...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:50 PM) :

Nice! He's probably not actually security because if he was it would be spelled the French way, with an E not a Y on the end.

Blogger natalie said ... (2:36 AM) :

I wanna a security.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 AM) :

My god... Of course he´s not actual security.

Blogger THE DAY AFTER YOU DIE said ... (8:29 PM) :

I have those shoes too.hahaha

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 PM) :

tjoy you seem to be in the minority here. It appears to be a MA-1 style US bomber jacket (available in any US army-navy surplus store for about 40.00 or so), with sleeves removed. I can see the fluffy filler material over the shoulder, and distinctive orange inner lining. I agree with previous posters, that bag is hot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:58 AM) :

Love the bag!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 PM) :

Wow, what a nice choice. Could anybody tell me the detals, which type of shoes he wears on the pic?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:47 PM) :

How can anyone ask if he is a real security?! Yes, and next thing the security will wear also high-heels during their job!!!
He is just being stylish! He is not working at that moment for security company!Look at the baaag!!!

Blogger CAPITAL THREAD said ... (7:49 PM) :

Something makes me think he's not really security... could be carrying the bag while working... and the bag is great!

Blogger dean r said ... (11:35 AM) :

exactly what work items are in that bag? ha. great shot

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:37 PM) :

I love the metaphor this man is demonstrating to the world with the security vest. Perhaps he's saying we all need to feel secure in "times" like this....we find security in the clothes we wear....we are shallow in thinking we are secure....we are not secure we are vulnerable and yest we think we are secure...the list goes on and on. VERY influential young man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 PM) :

A sense of humor incorporated into an outfit is always refreshing once in a while. I love the bag and scarf

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 PM) :

awsome baaag!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:53 PM) :

the fact that security is spelled in english does not make him a fake security:

even in non-english speaking european countries a security would usually have a vest with the english spelling of "security". (i've never ever seen a french or german one! only english. the term as such doesn't even exist in german and the french counterpart isn't similar either)

also i don't believe he would wear such a vest as a fashionable item. it does not fit with the rest of his style. i think he's a real security.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:16 AM) :

Not a security guy, not in France where there's a law against using english vocabulary (unless the situation demands it and then it's bilingual, certainly not english only). He pulled off very nicely a witty outfit with the huge bag and the trashed security bomber. I love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:15 PM) :

The jumper reminds me of the ones my dad wears. Great texture, muted colour; the bag is a great shape and the shoes are a nice quirky addition to the whole ensemble.

Blogger Benoit said ... (7:46 AM) :

I love it! His tenue must be strange, or even ridiculous for real but his back looks great

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:09 AM) :

it may be my favourite picture on this website
