the only time i've ever seen spots look quite so dignified, perhaps the person more than the garment itself. How fun.

Blogger Laura said ... (9:50 AM) :

very chic and cool....love her hair

Anonymous AnonymousJK said ... (10:28 AM) :

Love the Marni aesthetic of this woman. I mention this only because she makes me think of Suze Orman in Marni! Now that's a fashion moment!

Blogger indigo warrior said ... (10:59 AM) :

I really like the structure of her top/jacket. Very nice. It's also nice to see someone embrace the gray hair. There's no need to worship at the altar of youth. Your own or someone else's.

Blogger ingefaer said ... (1:07 PM) :

very Merimekko.....great shape - top and hair

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (1:21 PM) :

I love everything she's wearing --- except the purse.

I've seen bags like this one before on this site and always thought their poofy silhouette wrecked every outfit they were paired with.

An angular purse as a contrasting geometry with the op art circles motif and her hair would have been perfect.

In my opinion. But would Sart see it as too Nordstrom?

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:21 PM) :

She strikes such an elegant pose..love this look!

Wow!! I love how she styled her hair!! What caught my attention almost instantly though i how her handbag isnt small like most women have...its actually pretty big and she carries it like carrying a carry-on at the airport!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:29 PM) :

Where to start?!? Love the pattern in the jacket/top. I just saw a Rex Ray exhibit so the oval cutouts remind me of that. The bold necklace is perfect and I do like the softness of the bag. Now, the hair. The cut is great, the style dramatic and the color works on her. I would love it if I looked good in what is now my natural color, but my hairdresser and I think not. Because my skin is very fair and I have blue eyes with light brows I would fade away like Casper the little ghost. That's why not everyone can/or will go grey even though they might want to. Sometimes a statement just isn't worth it.

Blogger LRB said ... (6:46 PM) :

Such a chic modern day Mrs. Robinson!

Anonymous jo said ... (11:12 PM) :

love the watch, actually.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:34 AM) :

I just love how you constantly photograph people who look happy, and full of vigor. It's a nice addition to my morning, thanks sart!

Blogger brandt said ... (1:07 AM) :

It's very "era specific"!
I almost feel like there's a matching skirt and go-go boots somewhere close by.
However she wears it well and is in great shape, as the large dots might not work on a larger frame.
Love the natural grey hair-wish more women would allow their own to go.

Blogger anu said ... (2:42 AM) :

Hah:) I thought the jacket looked very Marimekko-like. Glad someboby else verified this.

letting the hair how it really has given a hole fresh style for this outfit. for shure, a cool mum.

Blogger Patricia said ... (11:49 PM) :

i debated that bag awhile back -- it's the softest leather, so you have to clutch it like that so all its contents don't completely weigh it down like a bowling ball!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:04 AM) :

Is that Marimekko shirt?

Blogger Hawa said ... (4:47 AM) :

i actually love everything about her...and i like how the soft clutch counter balances the geometry of her top, necklace and hair...i like how i can look at a person so different from myself in age but still feel inspired to create my own version of this look!

Blogger Jen Laceda | Milk Guides said ... (10:22 AM) :

I don't want to be afraid of gray, like her!

Blogger clerk said ... (11:24 AM) :

Ok, THIS is what I want to be when I grow up!

Anonymous Gabrielle said ... (11:44 AM) :

like Jenny said, love the hair. I like seeing women keep their natural hair colour. Who says grey and white can't be sexy?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:14 PM) :

THIS IS GREAT.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:13 PM) :

it's a marni jacket. and i agree with previous commenters, she is the spitting image of suze orman! suze's look works for suze, i think, but this is an option she could perhaps try? i hope one of her handlers or assistants reads the sart and sends her a link. love the hair on this lady, too. she's so quintessentially italian. elegant, refined, even with the marni quirkiness.

Blogger Kenyatte said ... (4:15 PM) :

Strange as it might sound....she kinda looks like Suzy Orman..

bye

Anonymous Beata said ... (8:23 PM) :

elegant, natural and comfortable in her own skin

Blogger seawallrunner said ... (9:55 PM) :

she is vibrant, confident, elegant. A wonderful moment.

As for her sense of fashion - right on the mark: I noticed the person first, and the clothing second. The clothing only enhances the beautiful person wearing it, does not overpower her.

what a great look.

Blogger Starck Mad said ... (11:26 PM) :

This is SO cute! I totally thought of Suze Orman saying 'my little puppies.....the best jackets, can be found..in Milan!'

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 AM) :

She looks beautiful! Just everything works, wonderful.

Anonymous Tonsing said ... (4:42 AM) :

the sexiest look is honesty. just wear your attitude. seek ye first the right attitude for you, and wear it. and all these things would be added unto you.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:02 AM) :

Blogger Kathleen said ... (7:17 AM) :

Marimekko again! Well, it is the perfect time to wear our lovely cotton Marimekko tops and dresses! I wish more Americans owned and wore Marimekko clothing in addition to just purchasing the fabric. Their cotton clothing and knits are luxurious.

I love this ladies selection of a darker palate with this print, even though white pants would have been wonderful, especially with her choice of bold necklaces.

Her lovely kid leather clutch and dark pants are a perfect monochromatic match with her layered haircut and color.

Great background and lovely photograph Scott.
