Blogger Stacey Thomas said ... (12:05 PM) :

oooo I lovvveeee these shorts! I tried to make a similar pair out of a pair of acid wash jeans that I picked up at a thrift store but they didnt turn out half as chic...

Love that "DIY" jean shorts!

Blogger kateandkara said ... (12:08 PM) :

Sweet jane, I never thought I'd see acid wash denim again! She's lovely but this is a miss for me. That denim is too ugly.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (12:13 PM) :

yes to stripe mixing

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

dont like it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:16 PM) :

It's the same girl as in the belted dress in Milano. Same handbag...

Blogger eh.mio said ... (12:20 PM) :

gorgeous! what brand are those shades? me want!

Blogger Style Scanner said ... (12:20 PM) :

Not so sure about the snow washed shorts - bag looks like it might have been an interesting animal at some point though!

Anonymous Cate said ... (12:24 PM) :

LOVVVEEEEEEEE

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (12:25 PM) :

Didn't get it. This picture ( Paris) and the one before( Milan)aren't the same girl?

Blogger adulescent said ... (12:25 PM) :

love stripes, not 100% on the acid-wash denim though.

eh.mio, the shades are Ray-Ban

i love the mixing of styles of the shorts and top

Blogger Stjarna said ... (1:32 PM) :

This shirt is simply perfect.

Blogger J. Magdalena said ... (1:33 PM) :

She does indeed look just like the last posted girl. I don't know how I feel about this outfit. She wears it well, yes, however I don't know about those pleats in the shorts. The DIY aspect is great, but I would have gone with a different pair of jeans to start off with. If you cover up the shorts, she looks very Hepburn, and then WITH them, she looks very... Rush groupie esque. She's gorgeous, though.

Blogger Sarah said ... (1:42 PM) :

adorable x

Blogger Angelique said ... (1:47 PM) :

love the different stripes! p.s. had such a blast at the book signing last night!!!

She is quite lovely but I don't like this particular denim.

Not a fan of the shorts...

Anonymous Maranda said ... (2:12 PM) :

Acid wash cut-offs!!!! I'm having a flashback...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:13 PM) :

No to the shorts please.

Blogger stacy said ... (2:14 PM) :

Oh wow. This is flawless. Her hair, the sunglasses, the purse, her attitude, THOSE SHORTS. Amazing.

Blogger SallyO said ... (2:18 PM) :

So that's what happened to my acid-washed high-waisted pleated jeans that I wore in the 80's. She looks great and she has inspired me to recycle!

I like the lady more than the outfit but she looks adorable nonetheless.

Blogger Zuzia said ... (3:01 PM) :

Like a sailor man, or rather salinig woman ? I like. I will be happy to wear pants and shirt like this but, in poland weather is good for fur (i don't have once, even artifical). So... I have no way I have to wait for summer. Or Paris.

Anonymous phyllis said ... (3:07 PM) :

Her mom's acid wash 80's jeans! The darn things always yellowed badly so I wonder what she did to them to get them so white.

Blogger Bell said ... (3:10 PM) :

Paris, Milano . Who is this girl?

Blogger Lewis William said ... (3:11 PM) :

Too unfair to see this as we say goodbye to Summer Time. Tres chic, quand meme.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:31 PM) :

so effortless! beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:33 PM) :

she's very cute but I can't say that I appreciate her style, seems a bit underwhelming. good pieces but something seems just off.

Anonymous Linda said ... (3:41 PM) :

the top's nice but as much as i love the acid trend... those arent really nice... and the fit is funny

Blogger istanbul fashion addict said ... (5:28 PM) :

giant denim shorts are so inspiring and individual.loved the seaside look.

Anonymous Ave said ... (5:37 PM) :

Those sunglasses look just like my dad's old giant ray bans. My 18 year old brother wears them everywhere now.

Blogger Samantha Hutchinson said ... (5:42 PM) :

I love her shades!!! I'm on the hunt I need a pair like that! Stripes of course... always a good choice. Love that shirt.

Not loving the shorts. At all.

Blogger Holly Brindley said ... (8:24 PM) :

I love to see acid wash denim looking tasteful.. the conservative top seems to balance the outfit and avoid a trashy look. Love that the shorts are not skin tight.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (8:30 PM) :

Love the top! The shorts? Not so much...

Anonymous pandora said ... (8:49 PM) :

i love this? maybe the shorts don't fit so well, but she does pull it off perfectly. such an air of ease!

Three classics to keep till they fall apart:

The Top
The Glasses
The Shorts

Blogger BobKentNoVa said ... (9:59 PM) :

Cut-offs usually give a man or woman a rather downscale look. This is not the case here; this woman pulls them off quite well.

To everyone who asked, the sunglasses are Ray Ban. I own that exact pair, very comfy and light. They are style 4126 Cats 1000. Hope this helps. They should be about 130 USD.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (2:51 PM) :

Is it the same girl from the "On the Street......Belted Dress, Milano" post? Looks like her and the back is the same!

Blogger SequinsandBangles said ... (6:50 PM) :

Breton stripes are so elegant! Always a classic, so reliable! Love the cut off's too. Wish it was warm enough here to be able to wear shorts! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:14 PM) :

I love this girl's style, captured in these two pictures. She's just so cute! These are the types of people I like to see on the sartorialist - regular girls dressed in regular clothes, expressing their own individual style.

Anonymous Flower said ... (8:08 PM) :

She is her own stylist and I love it! Her hair is has a lovely fluffy halo!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:36 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 PM) :

i totally get this girl. she is beautiful, so is her messy hair. i get the jeans just like i get the belt in her previous shot. but the sailor top is too normal for her.

She looks amazing. The shorts are really cool. So relaxed.

I just realized that this girl is the same as the one below (in the wonderful dress and red shoes).

Blogger Leanne said ... (3:20 PM) :

I adore this whole look; so chic, so... french! The whole stripes-on-stipes look is soo what i'm into at the moment and I love the varying shades of white and blue. Her posture and facial expression completes it for me, she seems so self-assured and aware of her own identity. Mr Satorialist keep it up!

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:13 AM) :

That is such a comfy looking top~ I love the wide stripes on the front. This photograph is, like all the others, beautiful. I love this style. But the outfit... no. The glasses... no. I don't know what, but I miss something.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:06 AM) :

She just looks pretty, relaxed and happy. I mean, why does it matter to so many people that she's wearing acid wash shorts? Just because maybe these people couldn't pull off this outfit, or had bad experiences in similar material doesn't need to spoil a nice outfit.

She just looks lovely (if not a little cold). Mr Sartorialist, sir, you are awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 AM) :

she kinda looks like Giovanna Battaglia

Blogger Villedela said ... (8:31 AM) :
