He's so adorable! I love his scarf, bag, and shoes! Those crisp white pants make it all go pop. The essence of style!

Blogger pdrajdev said ... (5:14 PM) :

Great outfit! Especially the scarf, it's so nice! I love how it works by blending in all the colours of his outfit, but pops at the same time with vibrant splashes of orange. The composition of the picture is great too, however the bag and the jacket I could do without, it's just cluttering the frame.

Blogger jackie said ... (5:36 PM) :

also, again as i mentioned in a previous post- i think it's great to see older people on your blog- i've looked at your archives, and i've noticed that they've appeared here and there many times... it just seems that lately there have been multiple posts highlighting people of a higher age... i think it's great- i think a lot of times pop culture disregards them and we really should look at them for wisdom and style with admiration... not that this guy looks so old btw, he looks late 50's with a 20 year old soul.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:39 PM) :

Even with all that's going on in this look, for me, he still somehow exudes a sense of effortless elegance.

P.S. Recently, my dad gave me a pair of shoes similar to those worn by this gentleman. Any ideas on how to make them look new again?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 PM) :

In response to a previous anonymous comment:
There is NOTHING effeminate about this. Plenty of balls, I'd say! Real men don't give a damn if a scarf comes from the Zara women's collection. Pattern and color are what it's all about.
As for another comment about bag looking "cheap": It's a great pattern that makes this whole shot zing!

Blogger renaccio said ... (2:34 AM) :

I live near Florence and I absolutely adore going into town and watching the men! I love the way they put their clothing together...that classic sense of being well groomed. It isn't a studied eccentricity. It's just an inborn sense of style based on classic pieces and perhaps a dash of something different..like this guy in his white trousers. Grey trousers would be just fine but the white makes the outfit interesting.
And then there are the Roman men..but that's another beautiful story!

Blogger Paula said ... (9:01 AM) :

this is the poster child for never dying one's hair. it's gorgeous on this man and the white pants only accentuate that..wonderful!
